I have to admit that I'm kind of surprised that this thread, instead of degenerating into flame-wars and such, actually allows people to have decent conversation on controversial topics. And this, hundreds of pages after hundreds of pages. And even with the ocasional troll here and there, stirring things up.

Beside the usual game-related topics, we have religion, exobiology, house-building, AI behaviour, and the list can go on and on... (and that's only what I have skimmed from about page 300 onwards)

It's clear - Tali brings out the best in everyone! BioWare - you have to have Tali in ME3, if you want an *epic* conclusion to the trilogy!

Rannoch kinda sounds Arabic, or Hebrew.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rannoch - "an area of the Scottish Highlands".

Who knows what's the actual etymology of the word...

Agreed. Most of the times things are civil. Though, sometimes things can get rough. Image IPB

Well if you take a look at the Quarians they look middle-eastern... not to mention they were driven out of there home by an "advanced" hostility... sound like anything to you? how about the Crusades with the Christians? Geth are the Christians in this case...

Stupid Catholics, always ruining good civilizations, launching massive invasion feets and siding with reapers.

(apologies if you are catholic, I'm the only WASP in a catholic school, I get sick of it sometimes)

theres something you don't see every day! an atheist in a catholic school! I have nothing against religion (I'm atheist though) the only thing i don't like is when religion is forced upon someone... i just don't get why people would beleive that humans were created by some power when theres scientific prrof that we evolved. Also if Humans were created in gods likeness then god must be evil... anyways thats a whole other discussion and its offtopic.

I'm hungry now, i'm gonna go get some lunch i'll be back in a couple mins. Keelah se'lai

I used to be an atheist growing up (apparently I came home one day when I was four years old, looked my mother in the eye and said, "Mom, I don't believe in God"). Many years later I had an...experience...that gave me reason to re-examine my position. Since then I've considered myself spiritual; I am hugely distrustful of organized religion in general but do acknowledge that there are some religious people and figures that seem appear to genuinely try and do what they see as "God's work" without engaging in too much hypocrisy on the surface. There are good people. :) However, it strikes me that there are many people that automatically equate morality with religion; they are mistaken. The two concepts, while often associated with one another, are not one and the same. One can be moral without being religious, and one can be religious without being moral (see: hypocrisy). Anyway, this topic is off-topic and violates BioWare's forum rules.

In other news, here's my latest venture in to my music habit: Escape!

Sometimes trolls come through. We ignore. Troll goes away. Then back to friendly discussion.

This feels odd. I have a whole week off in front of me but not much to do besides play ME2. But I don't want to play it the whole time, I still enjoy it but I don't want it to wear out any further... I have a couple of videos I wanna do, upgrade my windows (from windows 7 RC to Windows 7 retail, shouldn't be problematic at all actually), install windows on my mom's computer, and well I was gonna work on my website to make it more up to date...

Bah, sorry guys, just noone to tell this stuff to. Many of you people are such strangers, yet we all share the same bond, which bonds us more than some people that I actually know. Talking in this thread is part of my vacation plans :)

Lol. Imagine Tali invents the multiverse travel machine and travels to our universe. Except here she is welcomed with kingly services and comfort by her fans who will carry her, bring her food, and do whatever she damn well pleases hahaha

lol   no worries man.  Of course, some of those videos you want to do need to focus on Tali, or else we may have a problem.  :P

I Think that what keeps the trolls out  to much high minded talk going on here...its like  an anti troll barrier.  Even when its gotten a bit rough its never fallen into flame wars.

Cliche-ish as it may sound, every stranger is a potential new friend. All our existing friends were strangers at some point after all. Hi, I'm KFD. Pleased to make your acquaintance. :D

Oh, and we all need someone to talk to sooner or later, just like we all can use a helping hand from time to time. And both of those things are quite alright.

Incidentally it is also the Quarian way (just to keep it half-way on topic). Tali would be proud. B)

It's kind of in the same nerdy vein as "Live long and Prosper" or "May the Force be with you".
Though I think the fact it's an alien language makes it that little bit more nerdy...
Kinda like talking Klingon or elvish?
