But when you bring someone like Zaeed or Jack aboard, they have open exposed skin, but wearing masks is all.

I was actually disappointed with how they handled that in game. Every character should have a full suit for the hazard missions.

Agreed. It doesn't seem like it would have been that difficult to do.

Also, what'chu think you're doing?

In related news, anybody want to take the Citadel advertisement's offer up to take "Miss Zorah" out on a date?

Yes, its too bad that the devs stuck us in a single ward with nothing to do but look at used starships or be an advirtizing ****.
I want to go down that walkway where we deal with the politian and thane's son, that ward looked like a nice place, plenty of stores, and clubs.

Agreed. That was one of the things I was a bit surprised by: How small they made the Citadel compared to ME1.

Well in all fairness the wards were kinda cool, but compared to ME1 the wards were smaller i think and also the Presidium in ME2 isn't there (however i heard its not in the game because the peices of soverign destroyed it so its being rebuilt)

hmmm do you guys think it would be cool if shepard could get a Quarian costume to wear?

I was actually kind of disappointed that he didn't.  In Ascension, the humans who visited the flotilla all wore the enviro-suits so that they wouldn't contaminate anything.  I figured it would be the same on the flotilla mission, but then I was wrong.

They were wearing their own envirosuits, much as Shepard and Co. are seen wearing in the ME and ME2 games whenever you set foot onto a place with a non-breathable atmosphere.  Pretty standard equipment in the Mass Effect universe I would think, as most people offworld are probably two feet of bulkhead away from sucking vacuum at any given moment.

maybe he will get one in me3 (hope, hope). He will probably join the Flotilla is my thinking. Everyone else (even TIM, if you destroy the base) has turn their backs on him. Tali/quarians are the only ones who would treat him as one of their own.... Give him a home if you will, so he can help them re-take theirs...  And of course build that house

I dunno bout that, I think I pissed off half the admiralty board when i said they should seek peace w/ the geth. Aside from Tali and Quib Quib I don't think I have many supporters in there. But I'm still chummy w/ the council and Anderson, and now that I told TIM he could go strait to hell they might take me back.

I don't think there is any such thing as a "completely cleaned room."  I don't know what the sterilization and decontamination tech in ME is like, but I wouldn't imagine they'd have overcome the hurdle we share today, that no matter how much you scrub, something always seems to make it through.

There are levels of acceptable cleanliness, though.  It doesn't seem to be that big a hurdle to get it "clean enough" for everyone else, and it seems to be possible to get it "clean enough" for Quarians, as the flotilla is able to do just that for Quarian birthings.
However it tells you something about how impractical/expensive it must be to do so, that they all choose to wear envirosuits all day, every day, rather than put forth the effort to scrub their whole environment to that "clean enough" level.

Hypothetical.

Not really. She's a sensible girl and is willing to give Legion a chance after I persuade them both with paragon virtuosity.

If you don't respond to it, it'll go away.

But I enjoy matching wits with a mental midget from time to time. You know, just for target practice and such. :P

I suspect the total number of posts before Mass Effect 3 comes out will reach about 200,000-225,000. Very simple equation, you figure that each time 17 days passes (about the time the game has been out), the hype on the thread(s) dies down a bit. So you either gradually take away from the posts (which add up to 450,000) that there would be by 2012, or even cut in half. For an estimate made in 2010, I'd say thats as accurate as we can get.

I agree with a lot of what you expressed. ME2 does seem to be an RPG-lite compared to ME1, and personally I preferred the weapon cooldown and the much, much larger array of weapons and armor. I also liked having more skills to spend points on although ME2 is not quite as barren as I had initially feared upon closer inspection (upgrades help alleviate this issue to some extent, I'll give Ray that).

<snipped>

Read your post, but the part I left quoted reminded me of something I kept forgetting to mention about thermal clips.

I much preferred the cooldown system in ME1. Gave some strategy to using weapons. Sure, thermal clips make more sense from a warrior's standpoint, as you can get more shots downrange when you can reload in less than a second, rather than wait a few seconds for the weapon to cool down.

But, I think Bioware should have had both weapon cooldown and thermal clips in the game. That way, if your weapon overheated, you could simply let it cool down, or swap thermal clips. And, if you ran out of thermal clips, you wouldn't be screwed over 'til you found more.

Their logic being "If you don't have a thermal clip, you can't fire,' is idiotic. Weapons in the first game did it. They just had external heat ports, rather than an internal device that serves as a heatsink.

It'd make much more sense from a war perspective to implement both. Ammunition wouldn't be a limitation, and, if needed, the option to swap thermal clips is still there to give maximum rounds-per-minute.

:( sorry jake, that was insensative on my part.
I meant to say that I politely explained to him that we must part ways as his Human-centric views don't mesh well w/ my plans to woo Tali. Bad blood between cerberus and the Quarians and all. You know how it goes.
