would tali be able to be in a completely cleaned room without her suit?
I don't think there is any such thing as a "completely cleaned room." I don't know what the sterilization and decontamination tech in ME is like, but I wouldn't imagine they'd have overcome the hurdle we share today, that no matter how much you scrub, something always seems to make it through.
There are levels of acceptable cleanliness, though. It doesn't seem to be that big a hurdle to get it "clean enough" for everyone else, and it seems to be possible to get it "clean enough" for Quarians, as the flotilla is able to do just that for Quarian birthings.
However it tells you something about how impractical/expensive it must be to do so, that they all choose to wear envirosuits all day, every day, rather than put forth the effort to scrub their whole environment to that "clean enough" level.
The tech of today is pretty good at killing anything in a level 4 biohazard. 200 years from now in ME2 plus with the advancedment of prothein tech jumped human tech 200 years. Thats startrek level equal to 2400 AD. They are pretty clean in space ships with that bio hazard beam that kills all the germs in the airlock as they enter the space ship. Thats a clean room.
And tali only gets a cold wile being with shepard and shes not in a clean room. She'd have to get some quarian sickness for her to actually be sick from how she talks to you about how quarians get sick. If shepard has the chicken pocks she wouldn't get the chicken pocks. She'd have a reaction to the unknown matter in her body like she'd get a cold or a fever but not actually get sick.
I was referencing the fact that there is no such thing as "completely clean." Try as you might, there will always be something in a room, that could be dangerous to something, period. There is no "completely clean", only "clean enough." Which for practical purposes, suits just fine.
Oh, with the notable exception of one place, and that is a vacuum. Funny thing about those super-sterile vacuums though... they're generally pretty hazardous even without anything in them.

Aye, not to mention that since they are still using metal pellet/rounds in the ME universe, any firearm that has a functioning firing chamber, a trigger to activate it and a barrel to propel the projectile out of (presuming the projectile has the necessary ingredients to propel itself - in our own world that would be gunpoweder, etc.) it would, as you correctly point out, fire. And for handguns and assault rifles it takes quite bit more of unrestrained, near-constant firing before the barrels start to glow red-hot (I know from time spent in the military) that what we witnessed in ME1. Ah well, this is make-believe so what the heck. The thermal clip system does work, I just wonder what a fine-tuned overheating system (without thermal clips) might be like.
You bring up another interesting point. The weapons in the ME universe use a miniature mass accelerator. Which would mean mininal heat generation, due to no volatile gas or powder to heat the barrel past what the bullet-barrel friction would cause.
It's all in the name of gameplay, I guess.
I'd forgotten about the mass accelerator aspect of ME weaponry (beside the big guns on dreadnaughts; how could one forget that tear-jerker of a speech provided by the gunnery chief on the Citadel

I'd forgotten about the mass accelerator aspect of ME weaponry (beside the big guns on dreadnaughts; how could one forget that tear-jerker of a speech provided by the gunner chief on the Citadel). IIRC, it is generally the actual friction between the speeding bullet and the barrel that is the primary cause of heat and not so much the gundpowder explosion which discharges in the firing chamber.

I really think tali is out of place.
She should have died by now with all the combat.
She got a suit tear just from doing her loyalty mission.Seems very wrong for her to survive.
She did sarens pursuit from near the start of the game. And seemed to not stop doing dangerous things the 2 years you were gone.Seems very unlikely for her to survive all of that.
Fret not my good man! ME is a place of miraculous science after all! Just look at out good Shepard. He bit the bullet but was resurrected thanks to the Lazarus project; seemingly just about anything is possible.

Yeah I didn't think the heat clip thing made much sense. It would have been better if they made guns w/ the same heat mechanic in the first game except when they over heat you could eject the clip to immediately cool it back down again.
