They most likely see it that way to, hence the codex stating they stick to ambush-style attacks if my memory serves me correctly/ Theyd only head to war if the advantage is theirs.

I really hope that in the quest to get their home planet back, The Quarians WON'T go to war with the geth. Both sides would be utterly destroyed and unable to fight against the reapers. It's better to have both the Geth and Quarians try diplomatic relations as both sides will get what they want will no species-ending war.

If they did go to war anyways, then I would have to support the Quarians as they need as much assistance as possible.

Well, since I find it obvious that ME3 will probably be about Shepard pulling the galaxy together to stand united against the Reapers, I think you will get your chance to prevent a war between the Quarians and the Geth. Or maybe make sure the right side wins easily and decisively, if you tick that way.

I'm only hoping that we'll also be able to prevent Tali from becoming an Admiral NPC. I'd rather have Tali in my squad than the Migrant fleet without Tali.

I mean, in the end, Shep will single-handedly pwn the Reapers anyways, right?

Ok i have a question for the forum.

Most likely in ME3 we will be able to be an influence in Geth/Quarian relations. It seems to me that Tali would be in favor of having a war to retake the homeworld from the Geth. But if you are a paragonshep the most obvious solution would be to convince the migrant fleet to colonize another world. Tali, i imagine, would not want this. Even if you could convince the Geth to leave the quarian homeworld, i think that Tali's hatred for the Geth may put your shepard at odds with her.

So my question is would you go with whatever Tali's decision would be even if it involved the extinction of the Geth race?

Same here.

Of course, the obvious solution is to seek a diplomatic solution to end the QuarianxGeth war, but as shown on Tali's loyalty mish, its not gonna be easy. No matter what you choose, the Migrant Fleet is gonna be torn up into two -- Those who are for war, and those who oppose.

If however, the Geth attack the Migrant Fleet (I know, I know "The heretics only attacked, the other side won't blah blah blah"), The quarians will definitely have my Shep's full attention and will fight for the Quarians to the death.

As you can tell already, I'm a quarian sympathizer
But I cannot and probably will never see how supporting the Geth, who are machines, is a better choice than quarians, who are living organics, with feelings and families.

If I were unable to convince her myself, yes, I would follow her intentions to preserve the relationship.

I dtill don't see why they van't build mechanized armor suits (like the AMP's in Avatar or the Marins in Starcraft)
that would help in frontal assults and heavy weapons (which quarians desperately need)

This platform believes that Creator-Geth relationships could be improved if creator chances of attack would be reduced to 0%, allowing rehabitation of creator homeworld.

Keelah se'lai, we almost had a massive thread derail but it was dulled down and honestly I think my posting of the Tali waterfall pic solved it totally. Oh and Arrtis has been trolling for 8 hours strait, no surprise there. We also crashed the server again. Business as usual.

Im sure Bioware will most likely have the squad members determined by previous decisions in the game i.e  if your shepard gained tali's loyalty and romanced her she shrugs off the offer to beome admiral.

On a separate note im certain some where in the codex it states admirals have to be representing there ship as in one their captaining in that case what about shep for the admiralty board ? He's proven his worth to the quarians plenty of times now at least in my case.

That would be a insanely hard choice to make. Hopefully you would be able to convince her to put the Geth's past behind her. If her mind is set on war, then I don't know, and I probably won't know until the situation arises in the third game.

And thats one of the reasons this world we live in is so effed up. I cannot understand how anyone could just watch someone die and not do anything about it. If I ever see anyone dying, say somebody gets in a car crash, I will be the first person to get out of my car and do whatever I can to help. Thats one of the main reasons I am in my EMS class.

Looking at how it was perfectly possible to talk her into getting along with Legion, I'm pretty sure that it'd also be possible to convince her that there's a peaceful solution. Less colonizing a new planet, than returning to their home planet and sharing it with the Geth.
If a war is really unavoidable however, I'll side with Tali and the Quarians.
Would be really interesting if Tali was persuaded and started thinking that a peaceful solution would be good, but her fellow Quarians still wanted war.
