I don't hate anything in my life, i find it a waste of both time an energy. Instead i focus on the things i like, i rarely even talk about things i dislike. Hate is an overused word, it is very strong, completely different dimension than just to dislike.



Which is why i say how much i say i love Tali as a character, rather than whining about the minor things i don't like in ME 2.

After the first two hostile encounters, you reach a bridge, and while talking to Zaeed, it shows that angle on whoever you picked (Tali).

So I just got caught up on some of my forum reading, and first of all grats are in order if this thread really did break the forums last night.



I also checked the part (on both this thread and the Miranda thread) where someone tried to start a flamewar between the two fan communities. I'm glad most people here realized that such hatred is the antithesis of the spirit of LOVE threads, and posted in the Miranda thread saying so. It speaks very highly of the Tali fan community.



The fact that there are communities for all of these characters if proof that Bioware is able to create lots of different compelling characters, and gives hope that they'll be able to give all the character and LI arcs a strong conclusion in the future. Part of the power of gaming as a medium is its interactivity. If (heaven forbid) the Mass Effect movie ever comes out, it'll be a director/writer decision who Shepard ends up with. In the ME game, it's the player's decision, which is part of what makes the experience so powerful. The fact that we all come to these forums for some good, clean, dorktacular fun over a character they love gives us a lot in common, and it matters a lot more IMO then which character you like the best.



Here's hoping you can both build Tali a home and start making genetically perfect babies with Miranda in ME3.

I didn't have Tali yet on that one. The first missions in Omega are to recruit Zaeed, Mordin and Garrus. After that Zaeed immediately asks for our help on his loyalty mission, so I did that one. I can't remember, but I think that while we are that early into the game, Tali isn't yet an option to go recruit.

Throughout the suicide mission, I just wrestled with what to do with the station., I eventually gave it to Cerebrus: They will probably use it for evil in the future, but with that tech, our chance of seeing that future is much higher than it was before/ Would rather end up fighting a dominate Cerebrus than be dead. I kept Tali close though. As for the Geth/Quarian possibilities:

If war, the Quarians better not go at it alone. Their fighting ability seems extremely low. The Geth would wipe the floor with them. They would need at least Human help. 
But hopefully peaceful settlement of a new homeworld can be achieved.

In response to the suicide mission I wrestled with the idea of keeping it but remembered Sovreigns speech you know the you evolve our path thing and thought no matter what we learn its gonna lead to something bad, that and tali swayed my decision.

True. I hadn't thought pf that. Still: The weakness of the defenses leads me to believe that neither the Collectors or their overlords, the Reapers, thought anyone would ever reach there, Hence, it leads me to believe that the tech found there is not part of the path that the Reapers set out for us.

Then again, the entire series is about hedging bets. I BELIEVE that the Rachni will be useful. I am betting that they will not harm us. I BELIEVE that Cerebrus will use the new tech to fight the Reapers before they turn it on the rest of the Galaxy. I am betting that they don't just turn around and start ****ing with everyone. I BELIEVE that the Krogans could possibly help, but I am not yet willing to bet that they will reproduce fast enough, ignore their hunger for revenge, unite, and aid us,
All of these things could come back to bite me in the ass, but when you are facing a threat that is ancient and has never been defeated, you have to roll the dice. Any possible inch of aid must be explored. I felt bad for Tali since the Cerebrus attack on the flotilla was inexecusable, but regardless of past actions, destroying the Reapers takes precedence over all things. If I had to sacrifice Shepard and every recruitable character from all the games to stop the Reapers, I would. And I am willing to roll the dice on the lives of every sentient being in the galaxy when it comes to the Rachni and Cerebrus if it means aid against the Reapers. Better to relive the Rachni wars or fight against a militant pro-human faction with insane tech than have everything be destroyed.
