So why can't I give the broken freighter that I rescued with a busted FTL drive to the Quarian on pilgrimage? I mean I can give the one on Omega a thousand credits but I can't give this one a busted up freighter?

I was disappointed too that you couldn't just free the quarian slave on Ilium: you had to "sell" her to the company.  Come on, I'm freakin' Commander Shepard: I can somehow manage to charm/intimidate the slave broker to free her!  If not I'll do it at gunpoint goddamnit!

Actually you can talk the Asari into freeing her instead of selling her to the SI rep. You just have to explore the options right. She will realize she can use the Quarians delicate health as a loop hole in the contract and set her free that way.

However I think that is a worse option than getting the SI rep to purchase her contract and free her. At least if the SI rep buys her and frees her then docks her wages for a while to make up for the contract she is taken care of and not eating Nutrient paste at the Turian shelter....

I don't know about punching an officer of the law who wasn't physically being violent himself, however they were acting like right proper bigots (especially the Volus) so I was thrilled to tell them what's what and flash the former spectre status. On my current play through I will make sure to reclaim my spectre status and bring Tali along before dealing with that situation. And yes, I wanted to give that young Quarian woman some money just like I did for Kenn on Omega.

I had my Spectre status re-instated, but with that Quarian, my Shepard still said "I'm sure you wouldn't want to arrest a former Spectre, would you?"
Looks like you say that either way. =/

Agreed. The 3D experience of "Avatar" (and the movie itself) was better than I had expected when I watched it in January.

That Na'vi tigress is quite alluring in her own right. What is it with exotic alien chicks, eh? 

Meh, it was ok. I felt it got way too much recognition for being Pocahontas in space with naked blue people. It had some nice 3d effects and the CG in it was kinda cool looking I guess. It was pretty compelling and it made you care about the characters. Other than that I didn't think it did anything special. Also...at the end...why wouldn't they simply nuke Pandora from orbit?

I suppose that depends on what sort of salvage laws are in effect in the ME universe. If the registered owner of the ship is still alive and/or associates have the legal paperwork filed for the ship, presuming they have a certain amount of time to launch salvage operations before it becomes a free-for-all, that may well still be someone elses property.

You have to talk to the Volus about the missing credit chit before you find it at Saronis Applications. Just go talk to the used ship salesman first when you get the quest started

Thats weird, because when i got my spectre status reinstated shepard said Spectre and not former spectre...

Um the captain is dead on the bridge and leaves a note telling you to take the stuff in the container if you get past the mercs.... Besides do I really care if its stolen property? There are dead crewmen all over, Blue suns all over that I just killed... and it doesnt have a working FTL drive.... I say have Cerberus haul it to her and give it to her.

Spectre says "This ship is confiscated!"

the laws against AI, i think according to Codex, started AFTER the geth uprising, and was the cause of the laws. I think most council species don't like them, as far as geth AI are concerned, is because they created these AI's, then tried to kill them off, failed, got pushed out of their own space systems, and now the Council races have a large number of, as far as all organics think minus Shepard, his crew and Legion, Hostile AI synthetics with massive fleets, capable of great technilogical feats...or so they think.

I knew that you could do that, but you're still forcing her to go work at this company: she might get freed, but she doesn't have any choice.  I would much rather free her myself
