I love when you get poisoned in Omega with Tali in yer party... She goes right for her pistol :D She does give some good commentary in the Garrus mission too btw guys.

Oh? What does she say?

You mean Garrus loyalty mission? Or the hacked way to have Tali at Garrus Recruitment?

The hacked way to have Tali at start. Legion and Tali both have some nice commentary on the mission. She doesn't make any comments about seeing her old squad mate thou. Just little comments here and there like any character would. I think its funny that a character you cannot have at this point in the game has sound bytes thou.

Maybe bioware is going to let you use your full squad selection on imported games later on? I mean Tali and legion both should not have comments when you first jump onto the bridge unless they had planned to let you have them legitimately

Yeah, that is surely not a coincidence. The only reasonable explanation may be, that they decided of the recruitment quest line after making those levels ready. And did not remembered to delete unusefull files.

I am also nearly sure that there are plenty of unused dialogues made by Liz Soroka, that were not used in the game. ( or yet used ) :).

Here is another one for you. Taking Tali to enter the Quarantine for the first time....
Tali: "My suit filters out every known germ, bacteria, and allergin. I shouldn't have a problem unless it is breached"
Legion : "This platform is immune to organic disease"
They definately wanted or considered letting you have Tali at this point. perhaps it is possible to simply fly around doing scanned missions until the first Collector incident and then recruit tali and that is why she has lines here?

Can a n00b to this forum also join in in professing his Shepard's love for Tali? Seriously, she didn't have much competition as far as I was concerned. That and her moments with Shepard, her inflection as she talks about him, you know she wants Shepard.

I just hope for ME3 Bioware isn't such a tease about Tali's face.

For us she have no competition, for BW surely - Miranda, Samara, Morinth, Jack. Is that enough for you? BTW Miranda was intended to be prior LI for ME2, or so i heard on bonus movie material. :?

Would Creator-Tali'Zorah turn down a position on the Admiralty board for Shepard-Commander?

Yes she would.

What Tali has for Shepard is basically a "perfect storm" of attraction towards him. There's many variables you need to take into consideration to really put into perspective just how attracted Tali would be towards Shepard, and I don't mean physically.

-Shepard would be damn appealing to any typical woman. He's a handsome, powerful, super famous hero. An alpha male in every aspect.
-Tali lacked affection from her primary male role model in her life. This may seem a little weird, but in a way Shepard fills a void left by her father; he's a few years her senior (not a lot, but enough), and he's in a position of authority, much like a father would be. Tali has lacked (and longed for) affection from a this type of figure.
-Shepard's saved Tali's life numerous times. Hell, the first time they met, they met by him saving her life.
-Shepard is Tali's first love. The first (non-family, anyway) who's seen her face. He's also the first person she's kissed, slept with, and who's skin she's felt against her own.

So yeah, Tali's love and appreciation for Shepard is almost unfathomable. He's by far the best thing to ever happen to her, and if she lost him it would be devastating beyond words.

I don't want to make it seem like Tali would be a helpless, mindless love zombie around Shepard, but I don't think there isn't much she wouldn't do for him

You sir, deserve and extra-special something that I have yet to obtain.

We still fear that Bioware will pull a "Wrex" and make Creator-Tali'Zorah want to come with Shepard-Commander, but feel duty bound to serve the flotilla. This ensures a position in ME3 for her with an explanation for why she can't be in the party but also leave her position as admiral open for another random Creator if Creator-Tali'Zorah does not survive ME2. Of course, they could have extra squad spots for people that survived the first games and remove them if they didn't.

When you first enter the district people always talk about the bodies burning.

Tali says : "Is that... bodies? They just left them in the street? And now I'm engaging olfactory filters... and anti-nausea medication"

I know she cares about Shepard, but she ignores the collector mission despite having direct connection with the reapers. I'm not saying that she should be recruitable, but the way she "doesn't care" about the mission just isn't something I like. "No I can't, please go hack some computers". That's odd.

Liara never specifically says that she doesn't care about the mission.  For all we know, her mission against the Shadow Broker might tie in to Shepard's mission against the Reapers.  The problem is that Liara is tight-lipped about it.  Why?  Possibley b/c BW doesn't want to spoil future plot details.

Knoll Argonar wrote...

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate Liara. It's just that I find wrong the way she lived the last two years on her own. That makes her les attractive for me.

Liara's spent most of her life on her own.   This doesn't surprise me.

Fair enough. Granted, I didn't pick Liara as my Shepard's love interest ME1 so I haven't actually experienced Liara's reaction when she meets Shepard as a former love interest in ME2 (I hear she both kisses and hugs him instead of just hugging him if you were friends). I suppose in my mind my question would be why she doesn't do more to hold on to Shepard once he is alive and sitting right there in front her? Irrespective of her personal vendetta against the Shadow Broker, etc. I would like to think that if she still bore the same passionate/romantic love for Shepard, that she would leap at the chance to be with him (or her,) again considering how small of a thing that would be in comparison to finding his/her dead body and having it brought back to life (note: I'm not saying she doesn't love him but rather that the nature of her love for Shepard has changed as can happen between people - especially with the passge of time apart).

As you say, there may be valid reasons for her behaviour which we haven't been privvy to yet, but she does seem more distant; more like an old friend who was once a love interest but who is no longer such. In which case the field is wide open and fair game to enter in to a romantic relationship with another, IMO.

I love Tali. She is absolutely endearing to me. That said, I find Samara hugely intriguing and would be very happy to see her have an expanded role, including being a potential love interest, in ME3.

If that happens I'm going to be one pissed **** (even though I'm a man), and all I have to say is that Samara had better be do-able at that point! :D

Ah! I doubt BioWare will leave Tali high and dry like that.

It seems pretty obvious that BioWare originally intended all recruitment missions (or at least Tali and Legion's, going by these posts), to be open from the get-go.

I can imagine they chose to limit how many recruitment missions there'll be at a time, due to probable negative feedback from testers. I imagine some of them may have felt it was too overwhelming to have that many options, and that they wanted some direction.

I respect their choice to break up the recruitment into two sections, but I think it would've been really cool if they just unlocked all of them if you import an ME2 save, since if you've already beaten the game, you probably wouldn't feel too overwhelmed if you had all recruitment missions available at the start.

The Tali fan base is pretty split on whether or not they should reveal Tali's face. Though it seems most do want to see it. I'm pretty positive that they will show it in ME3.

They can't avoid the question of what exactly a Quarian looks like forever, and they may as well reveal it with everyone's favorite Quarian.
