I'll pass it on to Doc that you like his line. Mojo and I were just going to let her rant and have Jack chime in with "You need to get laid b*tch."valttu wrote...
YES!!! Scy Lancer thanks for the Chapter 2 I'm gonna read right away. I loved the prologue and part 1. LOL especially the "not getting laid in 2 years" bit!
I still stand by what we chose though.
Thanks for the support.

... and I mean that in a good way.
Also I would like to add, Tali not only MUST appear in ME3, but her face MUST be revealed. ( and the few suggestions for it so far are awesome by the way
Seriously the whole Master Chief treatment? F*** That! The only reason that even worked for Halo is because no one actually cares about that Spartan beyond the basic shoot everything that moves with anything you can find skills. There it's a running joke because the Character is a running joke.
But Tali is a full fledged character, she's a persona, an ideal, that millions of people truly care about. We want to know her as a person, we want to talk to the face behind the helmet. We've already proven we can see past the environmental suite to the wonderful woman behind it, now we all want to see more.

Thanks. Doc and Mojo don't have profiles here. Mojo just started ME1 and Doc... well he has a PS3 so he's out of luck. But Mojo and I have been talking about it so much that Doc knows just about the whole story.valttu wrote...

I strongly hope they'll reveal her face, but honestly, I highly doubt it. It'd be SO much easier for them to just leave it as it is. Otherwise, they'd be taking the risk of having half of the Tali fanbase shouting "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" because they don't like how Tali looks.

Here's a pleasant thought. Since they already passed up such a good opportunity to show her face (romance scene in ME2), they're going to need to have a really special moment in ME3 to show it.
Shepard already knows what Tali looks like, so when they reveal her face in ME2, it'll have to be a scene in which seeing it would be significant to him, otherwise they break the ongoing connection they try and keep between Shepard and the player.
I imagine something dramatic. Like maybe Shepard nearly dies trying to save Tali, like taking a shot for her or something. He ends up surviving, barely, and she is of course alright. So she takes off her mask to kiss him right there, and the player sees her face. That's just an example; all I'm saying is, when they do finally show her face, it's going to have to be a pretty special moment.
I was half-way through your post as these images came to my mind, and they seem to mirror yours: Shepard falls in to some ice cold water (underwater mission gone bad perhaps?). Stops breathing (suit malfunction or maybe never had a chance to put one on). Player sees Shepard slowly sinking deeper in to the water from above. Suddenly a shadow is visible across Shepard's body, the camera angel spins 90 degrees while taking a full 180 degree turn so that suddenly the player is looking up towards the water's surface as though looking through Shepard's eyes. We catch a glimpse of a hooded figure with a purple face plate swimming towards us before everything goes dark. We hear faint, echoing voices and our vision is blurry (similar to when Shepard wakes up in ME2), the camera pulls out again revealing Shepard back on dry land near the water, Tali propping him up on her lap (the way you do with first aid when a person needs to be stabilised and is in shock). We see her masked face looking down at us, then she looks up as Mordin speaks off camera, we see the camera jostle as Tali lowers Shepard down to the ground and reaches for something Mordin hands her. The player's camera keeps fading in and out to reflect Shepard's status of being in and out of consciousness. Suddenly the camera goes dark again followed by a flash of light as we hear the faint hissing sound of the safety clasps on Tali's helmet being released...and then it happens. Partly blinded by the light shining in to our eyes Tali's face is at first obscured by the shadows cast from her hood as she comes closer. Closer. Closer still and then we see her, truly see her for the first time before her lips meet yours as she begins mouth to mouth resuscitation.
Keelah!! KFD you are teh DUDE! Mmmm and when that happens, we won't be like "DEM HIPS!" but like "DEM LIPS!" <3:kissing:
That would be awesome sauce and definitely pure win!
If you ain't giving some great scenario ideas to Bioware, then tell me what this is!! With all that they then have to grant us some awesom movie passage in ME3!! Impossible to say they were out of inspiration!

Personally i'm a great fan of tali and as a big ME1 fan i found her particularly compelling this time around. That said my real appreciation must be just for the Quarians in general and the way bioware has developed them. On one hand they have the ramshackle and nomadic traits of european gypsies while at the same time being tighly militarised and the species in citadel space with arguable they best average technical apptitude, particularly when it comes to AIs.
The politics, the culture, the potential military power of the migrant fleet against the reapers...it's all gold that we know is going to take center stage in ME3. As awesome as tali is, i do think at least some of her character depth is reflected in the high quality of the Quarian race as bioware has forged them.

Yeah. The Quarian race really is one of the best ones... Maybe THE best race in the game, actually. They sure are interesting. In ME1 when I talked with Tali in the Engineering room, I was seriously interested to hear more about the Quarians, when she told me all kinds of things.

Garrus: What the hell happened to you.
Shepard:.... Mordin?.... Did you know that Valentines day chocolate was a major aphrodisiac for Quarains?
Mordin: Doing study. Needed test subjects. You two were the perfect pair. At least the closest, most reliable. How did it go?
Shepard passes out form exhaustion.
