After I beat ME2, I actually went back and replayed ME1 again so that I didn't have a LI. I wasn't into Ashley or Liara at all. I also kept Tali and Garrus with me the whole way through (besides Wrex's Family Armor mission; thought it would be more appropriate for him to be with me then). I'm planning to keep Tali and Garrus with me for the majority of ME2 on my "canon" playthrough or whatever (too bad you don't get Tali until halfway through the game
