I think of them as the complete opposite of scales, such as a light skinned (almost white) alien you'd see in a movie that is very clearly a "squishy" organism. Implement that to Tali and darken the skin a bit and BAM!, you have someone that is beautiful on the inside AND on the outside...you just need to get used to the hands and feet...

I think their skin would be pale considering they're never exposed to light... but then agian you never know...

Right, I mean the acids in their body could also govern skin color, I myself would prefer a light purple or blue. You could actually put it in the perspective of a human too, place a black skinned human in a dark room with food and water for some time, and his skin is not likely to ever truly go pale. Then again it could be different for Quarians, but who knows?

I see, well i just would assume they would be light because of the lack of light but i suppose you might be right, personally i would prefer a colour other than pale anyways...

It says they evolved similar to higher primates... So similar to mammals I imagine, just not quite because of the difference in amino acids.

Indeed, i think Quarians are the most ismilar species to Humans, even more similar than the Asari...

In terms of evolutionary development, quite possibly. Still, the Asari have five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot just like humans and Asari and humans both share the same amino acid structure, which the Quarians do not, so perhaps it's a toss-up.

In all likelyhood their skin color is affected by their different amino acid just as ours is...
