Well...That's not really a good example...Since exposure to mud wouldn't put you into shock.

Tali CAN die from having sex with Shep, but if they take the proper precautions she won't.

I think only oral ingestion and absorption affect that tbh... Else she may have negative reactions to any contact with her skin, by any human substance...

That's what I've been saying, only some kind of internal absorption would harm her, and it wouldn't kill her for SURE, just put her into shock, which COULD kill her.

It'd be a mood killer, that's for sure.

Seems to be like some sort of sex-related coma. I find that it makes the relationship more intimate though, certainly the deepest of the relationships. I mean they are willing to stay together AND go forward with sexual activity despite the risks.

Issue is with Quarian immune system. Originally weak, further weakened by 327 years in air-scrubbed Migrant Fleet.

As long as precautions taken to bolster Tali's immunes system, won't die.

Yes, Doctor, finally.. I have pertinent sexual inquiries...

Would it be fatal to have sex... With you? :bandit:

And NONE of us want that.

Post a new chapter >:3
that'll distract them awa from what exactly was on all those vids and datapads mordin sent us.

Wow, talk about a slave driver!

You know, I never actually got those vids and data pads from Mordin. Not through lack of trying, I have to say, but he never wanted to hand them over, it seems.

Also, KFD doesn't have a talent unless glancing over at his vast porn collection and writing down a few titles counts as a talent?

No. But Salarian sex drive not like human's.

And prefer to do tests. Requires less alcohol and mood music.

I think it's time to quote the good Grayson from "Blacksite Area 51" when he eloquently (and gruffly) spouts, "Blah blah blah wah wah! Yeah. Whatever. Just give me a gun." ^_^

Yes that's one of the big things that makes Talimance so sweet and romantic, the fact that Tali loves Shepard so much she is not only willing to take the risk of dying from her immune system deficiency, but also knowing the genetic differences could kill her as well.

Yeah, but once again I wasn't trying to be rude, I just have a thing against people who try to say "TALI AND SHEP HAVE DIFFERENT ACIDS THEY COULDN'T HAVE SEX SHE'D DIE!!" or "TALI ISN'T HUMANOID ENOUGH TO HAVE SEX!!" not saying that's you, it's just that these kind of discussions spark that kind of ignorance and it bothers me.

I can have sex with a hole in the ground, just because it's different doesn't mean I'm going to die. :?

Their chiralties aren't "almost the complete opposite" they're just slightly different on a genetic level, which simply means that they are unable to have children.

As a chemist, I should clarify.

Different chiralities does indeed mean completely opposite. Mirror images in fact.

Human (and all other earth life) amino acids are generally portrayed as a carbon atom bonded to four other groups: an amine (NH2) group on the left, a carboxyl (COOH) group on the right, a hydrogen atom above, and a carbon chain below. This would be described as a laevo-amino acid (or S chirality).

Since the canon seems to state that quarians and turians are based on dextro-amino acids,  that would mean that, in their proteins, the carboxyl and amine groups in their amino acids are on opposite sides, making them a mirror image to human amino acids (R chirality).

Essentially, it's like comparing a left hand to a right hand.

On an unrelated note, this isn't how I imagined my first post on the ME2 boards would turn out.

But, we must research positions and erogenous zones, a good scientist never takes second hand information, he gets in the field and does the dirty work himself! Go team! :)

I conceed to the actual Chemist, but still, you'd have to agree with me that the genetic difference only prevents them from having children, and they have to use protection to have sex, correct?

 I've learned not to care too much for consensus in certain circumstances. Too many wimpering knitting circles out there to get things done at times though that tends to be more my work related view. In private consensus with loved and respected ones is swell, though not always required.
