Whats up... why do have people talking like Reapers... This one is concerned?
Harbinger has been destroyed. Soverign has failed. Now you must all bow before Shepard. Shepard has been uploaded into this Reaper form for.... error... error. I delete data like you on my way to real problems.... critical error... the galaxy is in danger and you should fix it yourself....
Harbinger wasn't destroyed. :S
Didn't you hear him at the end? "Releasing control" Harbinger was disconnecting himself mentally from the Collector general so that he wouldn't be taken out like Sovereign was.
If you remember correctly, Sovereign was killed because he was connected to Saren's body, and when Shep destroyed Saren's body, he destroyed Sovereign because Sovereign was possessing Saren's body.
So Harbinger didn't want to suffer a similar fate.
Err no, actually the alliance fleet killed it. Shepard only stopped Saren from giving it full access.
No...If you notice when Shepard destroys the Sovereign-possessed-Saren's-body, Sovereign the SHIP immediately loses kinetic barriers and goes limp, how do you explain that? Sovereign the ship was destroyed by the alliance, but Sovereign the sentient AI died with Saren's body.
Also, if you listen carefully, whenever Harbinger possesses a Collector drone, and you're about to destroy it, he says "releasing control" which proves that if a Reaper possesses a synthetic or something like a Collector, that they die if the possessee dies.
Actually this may be true from technical point of view. It's alike you cut and paste something on a pendrive, then damage it. You know the consequences. And still, Reapers alike geth aren't bio-mechanics, they are programs. Only their moving platforms ( like souvereign the ship ) are strange bio-mechanic constructs.
Also think of it this way: Say that you could possess a machine but it requires you to use a certain amount of your brain to do so, you're still able to maintain function in your body, but that part of your brain is in use elsewhere, now say that that machine gets destroyed and you lose function in that part of your brain, that's still a portion of your brain, you're still dead from it.
Same concept with the Reapers.
