i hope your wrong....good point though, but Tali has her name tied to the ship and she has been in both games. Has anybody gotten a really bad feeling that Tali won't be a teammate in ME3 but have a diminished role because of the fact that she could die in ME3...I mean if all of your teammates can die in ME3, BioWare would have a really tough time and a lot of work to somehow meet some pre-set teammate quota if they were gonna bring the ME2 teammates back AND make some new teammates...Y'know for those people that lost a bunch of their team in ME2.
The thought crossed my mind and it got me really worried...'Cause now that I think about it...Tali as a squadmate in ME3 seems kind of unlikely :/

Question: Will Tali'Zorah vas Normandy be a squad mate in Mass Effect 3?
Answer: 542542: Yes. Tali'Zorah vas Normandy should be in Mass Effect 3, but we can't say for sure as it's not made yet. kgb_team
You text them a question, and they answer it. Charges you 99 cents, but best 99 cents I ever spent.
Nothing to do with former Russian intelligence group?
It still could be. Have you ever noticed the somewhat Russian accent Tali has? Perhaps it does deal with a Russian intelligence group. "We will assault Bioware Inc. should they not put our agent into ME3"

I know it's a long shot but they could have got a lot of the work done already, a lot of the main plot stuff that would be the same whatever characters survived. In the end, as long as you can see the friend/relationship with Tali through to a reasonable end I'll be happy.
I don't think it is unrealistic to anticipate an Autumn launch in 2011.
I agree. A lot of ME2's development was related to engine updates, asthtetics and the likes, and charactor development. With those two things finished, it shouldn't take 3 years. Assuming, and hoping they're keeping the same cast.

I find it puzzling as to why all the new characters aren't as well developed as Garrus and Tali. Yeah, Garrus and Tali were in the first game, but the other people from ME1 also got only 1 game to develop themselves, yet we developed more feelings for them than we did with the new characters in ME2. Maybe it's because there's 10? Or well, 11?
Also it's totally strange to me how Zaeed is more likable than a lot of others... I mean... seroiusly. "I don't like this... there's no bookie D:< Just a terminal. I'd bet on the dumb looking white one. Slow dogs always fight harder". Even if you can't properly talk to him, all his lines, his look, his voice, even his loyalty quest, is more appealing than many other characters. This is very strange.

What do u mean... Mordin character is very well developed, his conflict over his time work with the Genophage is probrally one of the best internally character conflicts i have seen in a while.
Thane is very well developed too, his in the Twilight of his life he is looking to right some of the wrongs that he did... he has regrets and is looking back on them as he nears the end. His quest to save his son from making the same mistakes he made very developed and moving.
Jack coming to terms with her past, Jacob finally getting out of the shadow of his fathers and puting that ghost to rest. Miranda ever constant quest to protect her sister not only from her father but from the life she lives, She is not part of sister because she can;t she does not involved herself in her sisters life because she choose too.
Grunts coming of age and finding his own reasons to fight, Samara is another greatly developed character simple how she views having to kill her daughter yet she holds not one once of hate in her voice. Nothing but pride and love. Hell even Legion helped developed the Geth more as spieces after you talk to him you actually LIKE the Geth and see that there not that bad...
Its your opinon so your rightfully entitled to it but I would play through the game again and really pay attention the dialogue and explore every option before saying that none of the characters but Garrus and Tali have any developement.

Quarins take a ship... her last name is Vas Normandy .... guess what her not being in ME 3 would contradict the ENITRE ME 3 universe it just would not make any sense for her not be on the Normandy as part of the crew... Matter of fact im will to guess that at most we will see maybe 1 or 2 new characters introduced for ME 3 if that.... This ME 2 was about introducing the cast of ME 3

It's more work creating new characters with their own design, models, textures, voice actor, personality, and history - than just using existing characters. Bioware would be smart to have ME3 squadmates be a combination of ME1 and ME2. For those who ****ed up the suicide mission, they should have to deal with the consequences, or replay the game (or reload a save). New players to ME3 can just have a canon backstory where everyone survived.
Don't you realize? It's all set up and clear for us. Those who are dead are dead. Those who are not will remain with you. It's not even as hard to do. They'll record as much data as they would normally, but for some players it simply will never show up because some characters died. Besides, most of the players will likely make at least one playthrough will all or most characters surviving. Like me, I have a playthrough, which is my main, where only Jack died. Then I had a playthrough where only 3 people survived. Now I'm on my way to finishing one where hopefully everyone will survive.
So yeah. It makes sense. Besides, we all know Bioware's got a plan. And also, if you start ME3 without importing, they'll probably have all characters survive.
that wouldnt work for the simple fact that not one charcter then could have a major impact on the plot. For example Tali cant be expected to be important plot wise if for some players shes not even in the game. Also you wont be punished by having a squad of only 3 people if most of your crew died there would have to be some method of making sure the game was still was balanced. I kinda doubt that bioware made all those options possible without thinking it through but they also made it harder to get everyone out alive then not so they have to plan on most people losing at least one person. I think ME3 by its nature will have a very loosley structured story where the defeat of the reaper fleet is the main goal and there are a range of possible ways to go about it, otherwise the whole rachni geth thing would be pointless but at the same time someone who killed the geth/rachni and lost most thier crew still has to have a satisfying conclusion it cant be oh to bad you killed so and so did this so you cant beat the reapers go back to ME! and try again. Its a balnce between rewarding people who played all three but not punishing those who didnt so to that end im really kind of baffled as to how theyll pull it off but if anyone can its bioware.
