i've tried romacing others, but overall for male shep, i just like tali's romance better so i just stay with her.

I tried to do my third play thru with miranda but dumped her and went back to tali....I think everyone of my ME 2 will be will tali.  Well except my one single one that will stay with liara.

Well, if you have no inspiration at the moment, it may be for the best not to try to force it.

And when/if you do get around to writing one, remember that you tend to be your own worst critic. Get a friend or someone to read it over. Tends to help a lot! Especially since they might see some things you missed.

Definitely. I am... I'd like to say friends, but more of a casual acquaintance - with the editor of a Sc-fi and Fantasy publishing house, and speaking with him has helped my own writing considerably. But mostly, the experience has allowed me to learn that authors have an editor - someone who proof reads their work and offers not only spelling, grammar, and continuity checks, but also suggestions on wholesale changes to the work, tweaks to make things flow better than they already do.

What I guess I am trying to say is that we - as readers - never see the process that goes into the book getting from the authors mind to the printed page you find in the book store.

The best advice I can give is this: The only way to be a writer, is to write. Keep at it, and you'll improve.

Once you romance Tali you can never go back, the lines she has to say are just too good to miss, plus would you really want Miranda or Jack anyways? I suppose its all a matter of opinion...

Well, most of that should be common sense, anyway. Sure, you can look over your own work and it'll look fine, but when you have someone else go over it, you're offered a completely different perspective.

First play through i was laying it on thick that i liked Jack, Miranda, didnt so much as make me turn my head though...

But Tali... tali tali tali tali.

Jack was a smart girl, knew what was going on with Tali, and Keelah Sa'lai she stepped aside.

I would never/ would never want to do any other romance. I mean, in ME1  I didn't do a romance because I was waiting for Tali. My Shep is  loyal to Tali

yeah i agree totally... i liek to think of myself as a good writer but i'm actualyl not... i know all the skills to be one but i just have trouble finding something good to write about.

When i say skills you need to write what i mean is: every word has a certain emotion right? I call it the graveyard/cemetary effect. when i say graveyard you're gonna think of some really creepy place at night and its not too pleasent, however hwen i say cemetary you're gonna think a daytime setting with nice green grass and people mourning the dead...

they mean the same thing but the words bring up a different feeling.

If i say:
"Tali was crying because Shepard died" and "Tali was sobbing because Shepard died" they mean different things... the sobbing one makes it sound more like Tali liked Shepard more and is incredibly sad that he's dead even though technically crying and sobbing mean the same thing...

If you master that as a writer than you can effectively control what the reader is thinking when they read the story, you can make them feel sympathy for people you might not regularly feel sympathy for...
