I think I may need to start a fanfic! All of your guyses great works have sort'a inspired me. I haven't written professionally or for my own personal enjoyment in years. But we'll see!

It was the same for me.  just writing about Tali makes you feel that little bit closer to the world she inhabits and it's been one of the most rewarding things I've done in a long time.

Speaking of which! The two ME novels I ordered off of Amazon may arrive today! *crosses fingers* That would grant me yet another avenue of procrastination from packing up my current home.:lol:

Which ones you ordered?

I put this question to you:  At what PRECISE moment, in either ME1 or 2, did you realise you adored Tali?  Was it something she said or did or did it just happen?

It was odd. I thought for sure I'd hook up with Ashley. I wasn't feeling Liara. And things were going smoothly... but I felt this... nagging... sensation whenever I spoke with Tali.

Unlike the others, she seemed so fresh, so excitable. Happy. Enthusiastic. She was vibrant and perky where Liara was studious and Ashley was professional. She was just fun.

And I started to think... you know, I'd rather spend my time with Tali than the others. And it just built and built. She had mystique, mystery, and charisma.

And then ME2 came out and raised all those feelings and emotions to 11 and nailed it. Grandslam homerun out of the ballpark. Hit every inkling I had in ME1 and capitalized on everything that made her, and a romance with her, special.

I think it's time to take a step back once again and ponder exactly what it is about our favourite girl we love so much.  is it her eyes?  Her bod?  Her voice?  Her cute ingenuity?

time to spread the love

Personally i just really like talking to her on the Normandy..most of em had crappy conversation but for some reason i like listening to  Tali i dont usually like long stories and skip em but when she was talking about the Fleet like ect i kinda found it interesting she was great at explaining things. Mix that with some funny quotes like when you bring her on Noveria "Ill stand behind you..that armor in good condition?" or in the elevator with Garrus "I am so pleased that the upcoming extinction of all organic life has improved your carreers possiblities" And when she bounces when idle ( i find that cute) i really liked her....plus Liara was a really empty character cute but empty ( i liker her alot more in ME2 tho) And Ashley was a complete "beep" I actually ended up all alone when Joker told me about Captain Anderson wonting to talk to me at the end cause i thought that maybe i could romance her then. Got so happy when i got confirmation in a Dev interview that she was romanceable in ME2

Latest poem! Here's the blog post with all three so far including the new one:http://social.biowar...2501/blog/2274/

Here's the latest one. Its the next part in the series, with Tali in the aftermath of Shepard's death, travelling back to the fleet.

Tali (in between ME1 & 2):
'Twas only this morn that I saw your face,
Striking eyes that saw past this mask of mine
With every word to me my heart did race
For you my feelings have now grown so strong,
and with your loss now I can only pine
My hearts desires gone; for you I long!
Across the stars now I begin to go
Without you, back to my ancestral home
A whisper from another traveller
Another who I'll never see again,
"Girl, did you hear the tragic news today?
The man who saved us all has passed away!"
I told him that it was my love who died
My Shepard has left forever, tonight
Soul crippled, and I feel such loss inside
With thoughts lost in sorrow, my heart it screams,
Soon was the day I'd tell you how I felt
and hold you in my arms so you could know
You never knew.. and live only in dreams
Not a soul can see this, nobody knows
I cry beneath my mask, now I'm alone

Beautiful Yaz. Made me a bit misty eyed reading that out aloud to myself. Well done.

Thanks KFD :) I'm glad so many of you liked it Image IPB

For some reason I want to write a Fanfic that focuses on a conversation between samara and shep about sheps feelings towards tali. About how he started to develop them and why.

For some reason I felt a good friendship grow between samara and Shep and she would listen very well.

What do you guys think?

I very much agree. Indeed, it seems to be a relationship with a connection that goes beyond friendship but isn't allowed to fully bloom by Samara. It is one of the proverbial "forbidden apples" I long/lust after in the ME universe. I love Tali yet in terms of interest if I could have had Samara I would have likely been forced to do a second playthrough (which I'm doing anyway, but oh well) so that I could choose either saved game and love interest come ME3. Yes, yes! That may sound treasonous, however there is something about Samara - a connection that runs so very deep, similar to Tali'Zorah's connection. They are both...intoxicating, I find.

Judging from what Grunt just said, Quarians are not soft....Or at least not as soft as Humans.

Aye, yet there has been some speculation that Grunt may be referring to the possibility that the Quarian suits have armored plates incorporated in to them. Whether he was referring to their actual skin remains unknown (besides, how would he know?).

Say anyone of you had the same thing happend to em? The first time i did the suicide mission i sent Tali in the ventilation shaft. I knew she wasa good tech but i was so scared something might happend to her that my combat skills seems to have been 4x better then usual at that time i just kept pushing..rushed out of cover and had almost perfect aim ( or overkills) just to reach the next switch. That really freaked me out cause im more of a casual gamer i like to take my time and do the smart stuff but at that time i just had to keep pushing even when i was just at an inch of my life ( and as an engie your kinda squishie :P)

Thanks solazz, I write it for you guys so its good to know you like it :) I do my best to try to communicate the various emotions that we notice but aren't always expressed. Not easy to explain what I mean here but I guess the poetry speaks for itself!

I think it's samara's refined nature. She's confident and beautiful with just the right blend of elegance and sophistication. Her looks are sexual but tasteful. I know this is a Tali centric thread but I can understand the attraction to Samara.

I trust Tali to hande herself. At least, when she's right in her wheelhouse of tech stuff and support fire. Try to make her a tank, she will pay for it.

Tell me, any of you find it difficult to pursue alternative romance on different profile after first playthrough with Tali's romance? I tried romancing Jack for story purposes but couldn't bring myself to tell Tali no.

Yes. Knowing what I know now, and in spite of being fully aware it is "just a game", the thought of not pursuing Tali weighs heavily on my heart. Conversely pursuing the love interest of someone else and knowing that my heart really lies somewhere else also does not seem neither right nor fair to the other love interest(s).

I am running into the same problem....I am on my third play thru and can't keep from romancing tali.....  I actually am going to play thru ME 1 and stay single so I am faithful only to tali....

Is that sad?

I don't think so. As the Bard (aka. Shakespeare) once said/wrote, "This above all else: To thine own self be true". Sound advice, IMO.

"To thine own self be true, and thou canst not be false to any man."

If memory serves.

Sounds good to me. Paraphrasing FTW! :D ....Hm. Which is something I've wondered about at times: How many of the quotes we attribute to people long gone are in fact "verbatim"? And do the interpretations we make out of their work and words actually reflect what their own thoughts and feelings were? Similar to Socrates' suggestion that artists/poets know not what they write or say, simply that they must do it.

The reason I always send Tali through the vents is twofold: I do not want to (and have not) activate Legion; I want Tali to shine. I have not yet had her die in the vents, and after she is done I keep her with me.

Actually, I knew she would be able to pull it off, but I sent Legion instead because I wanted her to be in my team and I was afraid something might happen to her.  Glad I did, because Legion got shot in the face since I sent Miranda as the squad leader and she wasn't loyal. (Didn't know I could send Garrus or Jacob at that time.)

EDIT: Not that Legion being shot in the face made me happy.  What's worse was that he was the only death in my first playthrough.  Made me quite sad.

Same here althought gameplay wise she isint a really good character she is an engie but uses a shotgun (engie =long range fights shotgun = shortrange wth?) Energy drain aint compared to overload really useful. Im keeping her around cause i like her and her drone is useful Its so funny out of combat our 2 drones circle around eachother its so cute

The only problem with sending Tali through the vents is that I worry for her quite a bit. After it's over, I breathe easily.

One of these days I want to record a playthrough so I can watch the events unfold without having the worry of someone (especially Tali) dying.
