For some reason I want to write a Fanfic that focuses on a conversation between samara and shep about sheps feelings towards tali. About how he started to develop them and why.

For some reason I felt a good friendship grow between samara and Shep and she would listen very well.

What do you guys think?

I very much agree. Indeed, it seems to be a relationship with a connection that goes beyond friendship but isn't allowed to fully bloom by Samara. It is one of the proverbial "forbidden apples" I long/lust after in the ME universe. I love Tali yet in terms of interest if I could have had Samara I would have likely been forced to do a second playthrough (which I'm doing anyway, but oh well) so that I could choose either saved game and love interest come ME3. Yes, yes! That may sound treasonous, however there is something about Samara - a connection that runs so very deep, similar to Tali'Zorah's connection. They are both...intoxicating, I find.

I think it's samara's refined nature. She's confident and beautiful with just the right blend of elegance and sophistication. Her looks are sexual but tasteful. I know this is a Tali centric thread but I can understand the attraction to Samara.

Precisely, and she is clearly lightningly fast intelligence wise as well (which is another one of Tali's traits I find hugely attractive). Not being able to have a meaningful conversation with a love interest is a major turn off for me.

Say anyone of you had the same thing happend to em? The first time i did the suicide mission i sent Tali in the ventilation shaft. I knew she wasa good tech but i was so scared something might happend to her that my combat skills seems to have been 4x better then usual at that time i just kept pushing..rushed out of cover and had almost perfect aim ( or overkills) just to reach the next switch. That really freaked me out cause im more of a casual gamer i like to take my time and do the smart stuff but at that time i just had to keep pushing even when i was just at an inch of my life ( and as an engie your kinda squishie :P)

I couldn't bring myself to do it actually. I'm too protective. Sent Legion through with Garrus as the fire squad. Never left Tali out of my squad through the mission.

Same. Besides, I figured Legion would be at least as good as Tali if not better given that it is a super advanced AI construct. Also, if the crap should hit the fan it would be Legion and not Tali that bit the dust.

Well my fellow Tali fans, With almost 20,000 posts and almost 800 pages i think we've gotten our point across, but just in case Bioware needs extra convincing let's go for broke and DOUBLE what we have already!

I sure hope this thread makes it to 1337 pages.  Oh, the posts that page will contain.

Sounds good to me. Paraphrasing FTW! :D ....Hm. Which is something I've wondered about at times: How many of the quotes we attribute to people long gone are in fact "verbatim"? And do the interpretations we make out of their work and words actually reflect what their own thoughts and feelings were? Similar to Socrates' suggestion that artists/poets know not what they write or say, simply that they must do it.

If it's recent quote, it'll probably be very accurate, but the more people it passes through, the more skewed it becomes.

Same here.
But maybe I should do it.
Just to experience the bad feeling of losing Tali. I think it would be an intense rush of adrenalin (no soldier pun intended lol) of playing through that part and to be scared of losing her.
And not to forget the huge relief if Tali survives... omg I think I have to do that.

Like I said.  I send her into danger for the same reason I have Garrus lead the second squad even if I'd rather he be in my squad.  I know he's solid.

Though I must say that her begging and pleading for me to hurry up and open the heat exchangers is pretty freaking harrowing.

If she is Loyal and you got the right loyal 2nd squad commander ( i always pick Garrus cause when he calls for suppressive fire he sounds bad ass) nothing can happen to her

Latest poem! Here's the blog post with all three so far including the new one:http://social.biowar...2501/blog/2274/

Here's the latest one. Its the next part in the series, with Tali in the aftermath of Shepard's death, travelling back to the fleet.

Tali (in between ME1 & 2):
'Twas only this morn that I saw your face,
Striking eyes that saw past this mask of mine
With every word to me my heart did race
For you my feelings have now grown so strong,
and with your loss now I can only pine
My hearts desires gone; for you I long!
Across the stars now I begin to go
Without you, back to my ancestral home
A whisper from another traveller
Another who I'll never see again,
"Girl, did you hear the tragic news today?
The man who saved us all has passed away!"
I told him that it was my love who died
My Shepard has left forever, tonight
Soul crippled, and I feel such loss inside
With thoughts lost in sorrow, my heart it screams,
Soon was the day I'd tell you how I felt
and hold you in my arms so you could know
You never knew.. and live only in dreams
Not a soul can see this, nobody knows
I cry beneath my mask, now I'm alone

Not usually the poetry type but that was phenomenal. Well done sir

Heheheh! Aye, ask me if I felt a bit frustrated at that point? :innocent::whistle: Did I ever!  Speaking of which, how do you trigger the scene where Samara leans in and almost kisses you, then hesitates and says something along the lines of, "At some other time, in another lifetime"? Does it trigger if you don't suggest having casual sex with her or if you haven't romanced any of the fully available love interests?

I know what you mean, but it's either that or activate Legion which I know she hates.  Catch 22, really.  Plus, I would not feel comfortable with the fight that inevitably happens after you do both loyalty missions.  So, I just leave Legion rotting in the hold beyond the med bay.

Tali is my sweetheart.  Without her, the galaxy just ain't worth the effort.

I think its when she tells you that your a good friend and she will answer your call if you want her later. you get to say either Im glad were friends or I want more...tho she turns you down and says Maybe in the next life
