I couldn't care less for Ashley... honestly.

 I didn't like the confrontation on Horizon either, but i can understand it if Bioware did it to have the virmire survivor play a larger roll in 3.

I used to feel exactly like you do but, I think my anger was misplaced before. I absolutely adored Ash in Me1
but then seeing her on Horizon angered me to no end. Its what drove me to
become quite the tali fan. 

I'm beginning to think that
Ash's love story arc might actually be really good, if not the best. Partially because it
was able to cause that much emotion (anger in this case) in me in 2. I really kind of understand  shepard when he goes, "I've had enough of this colony." on Horizon. I can only imagine the amount of utter joy I would feel in 3 if Ash and my Shep patches things up and she came back as a squad mate.

This is on a different character of course. The one that romanced tali, will always be with tali.

I dunno, just venting I guess. And if you don't like Ashley at all, thats fine with me obviously, its all just a matter of taste. The only character so far I've disliked was SuZe though.

apparently it's second. If she's the seond person hopping onto the platform, it's done right (at least as I've read)

I think you all are thinking that waay more work goes into the character's then what really does. If they keep ME1 and 2 squadmates then there won't be any recruiting and probably will be little specific character only missions. No matter how many people died in ME2 you will always have the min from the ME1 squad to continue.

Im less concerned whether x or y will appear it would be easy enough to read your saves and pop tali or whoever in as a cameo sorta thing like wrex but again they have to write a story which means at the end of the day someone like say Tali would be very difficult to fit in plot wise as someplayers wont even have her still alive by the time ME3 come around that leaves either her appearing in a side quests of sorts that just doesnt show up if shes dead, something like wrex were another character fills in for her plotwise or which im hoping the story is open ened enough that they sort of have multiple plot lines ie more than way to beat the reapers like if Tali lived use her to develope a weapon with legion or if shes dead maybe get the rachni queen you saved to pitch in etc that way the choices you made would really matter as opposed to just window dressing.

I went back and tested it twice last night.

After doing the final mission 7 times, it went like this:
1 - Chose Garrus first, Tali second. Garrus slid, saved him.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 - Chose Garrus / Mordin first, Tali second. Tali slid down and was saved all 6 times.

It may not be 100%, but it seems to be a very high probability, nonetheless.

i know it would be very ambitious, but what i really hope they do is have the main premise of ME3 be to rally the forces of the galaxy against the reapers, and then in the final climactic battle, you have to make some really tough decisions, potentially sacrificing millions of lives and the entirety of a race's military power, and depending on who shepard supports the greatest will decide which of several ultimate endings you get. perahps each, or several of them revolving around which race you support the strongest.
i, for one, would love to see an end to the series centering around the quarians rising back to their rightful place of respect within the galaxy. and tali of course. plenty of tali.

I wouldn't mind it if Tali wasn't a recruitable squad member...as long as I can still continue the romance with her. Of course, i'd prefer to have her as a squad mate, but Bioware will do what they want.

However, I am certain Tali will be back as a squad mate. In the unlikely event that she's not, i'm still confident that you can continue the romance with her, since LIs from the previous games are supposedly playing an even bigger role in the overall game.

Also, i'm pretty sure that's exactly what the main premise of the game is going to be --Rallying the galaxy as a whole to face the Reaper threat.

i hope your wrong....good point though, but Tali has her name tied to the ship and she has been in both games. Also, the Geth/Quarian war seem it will be in ME3 (maybe, idk) It seems Tali will be a big character in ME3. also if BioWare takes her out of ME3, it appears there will be WWIII

 


Going to end the Tali not in ME 3 debate once and for all.

Quarins take a ship... her last name is  Vas Normandy .... guess what  her not being in ME 3  would contradict the ENITRE  ME 3  universe it just would not make any sense for her not be on the Normandy as part of the crew... Matter of fact im will to guess that at most we will see maybe 1 or 2 new characters  introduced for ME 3  if that.... This  ME 2 was about introducing the cast of   ME 3  

Exactly. Wouldn't make sense where you spend Mass Effect 2 creating a team of the best of the best and then gaining their loyalty only to hear "Later Shepard! Now you must create new team!" That would just be ridiculous. At most they'll introduce a few new characters for your team.

In fact I have begun to build an anti bioware army in the unlikely case this happens. Anyone can join.
