Have you ever looked at how she gently caresses Shepard's hands in engineering when she is telling him that she wants to feel his skin on hers? I love what Bioware does for Tali in this game. She is more expressive because we cannot see her face. I also love Liz's portrayal.

I wonder if in Tali's mind, subconsciously she already thinks of Shepard as her mate, as I really can't see anyone other then a wife who can put the threat of bringing down the wrath of god in as few words as "....in private..."

I took Tali with me onto the collector cruiser on insanity. I also took Jack. When the mobile platforms arrived my squad and I engaged in a fierce firefight with harbinger and his collector drones. I used biotic charge and was able to take out two drones before harbinger had me in the red. Tali's drone was dispatched in mere seconds by the scion. jack, ever useless with all the barriers and armor that the collectors wear, was dead from the same shockwave volley from the scion. I was in trouble.
using geth shield boost i made a hasty retreat from harbinger while i glimpsed Tali charging towards the former prothean, shotgun blazing. By the time i emerged from cover, harbinger had a little armor left. I gave him a biotic charge and shot him in the face. He was dead!
But so was Tali. And the scion was still there. I was in big trouble. I hastily employed unity and I was back in business. But now another mobile platform with another harbinger and another squad of collector drones appeared, all backed up by another scion. Another firefight ensued with my objective of bringing down the barriers so jack and I could shockwave all the collectors off the platform. Except the scions loaded up a double barrel of shockwave love and fired it off. jack was dead, again. I tried using unity but realized I was out of medigel. It was all or nothing at that point.
i said to myself, "the hell with it" and started to prepare a biotic charge for harbinger 2. Except Tali beat me to it and started charging again. This time harbinger showed her no mercy and blasted her point blank. She was dead. And I was out of medigel. The scions were on the march, and harbinger had me in his sights. EDI was still under 80%. Seconds before "critical mission failure" hit the screen, I recalled how Tali said she did not want to end up a slave of the reapers like the protheans. Ah, made sense now.
