I stopped with "Insanity" early on. It simply was not fun and that's the main reason I play games: To enjoy the experience and have fun. Too much repetition and near mindless grinding kills that spirit for me.

IF only everyone who plays that mode and complains that its too difficult had your perspective. Its fun only if you feel its fun and want to beat it, otherwise there's nothing wrong with dropping the level down so that its still *FUN* Doing so does not mean you are "less" a gamer or skilled, its just isn't your thing.

For others like me, who did stick with it, we gained through pain ...so to speak, and to be honest, I did it twice, once for each of my "cannon" characters (paragon / renegade...both of whom romanced Tali...of course) and have now set the difficulty back to "normal" so that I don't have to wade through a bunch of reloads because i was a fraction slow with my twitch finger to play my other "for fun" characters.

Actually KFD the only reason to play Insanity or Hardcore is to get the Geth pulse rifle out of the Tali recruitment mission I think. Nothing else really changes and I have played Insanity on Soldier, Sentinel, and Adept.

Nice side note you can just do Insanity for Tali's mission only and still get the rifle ;)

All fair points and I concur. Incidentally, I had hoped that simply by bumping up the difficulty on Haelstrom I would be able to get the Geth rifle. Glad to read that may in fact work (it's what I had planned to do on my second play through). :D

I can appreciate and relate to the idea of gaining something more from it by toughing it out. It's what I did in regards to visiting, scanning and mining every single planet, asteroid and ship in ME2.

Miranda as the maid of honor -.- be more respectful for someone like Admiral Rahn
There's always asking Conrad Verner to come as an Usher :D

I've gotten a lot of flack about
Miranda. "Why is she so girly and giddy?" "Miranda
wouldn't say that" Ect.
My idea was after she severs ties
with Cerberus she is a lot more relaxed. Maybe wants the a part of
the child hood and adolescence that she didn't get before.
....I
never thought about Conrad.... I'll have to find something specialfor him.

Aria might be able to liven things up.

Doc and I have been throwing around the
idea of Aria and Ash going to the wedding together and then hooking
up there.... that's still in debate though. We already have Jacob as
the gay guy.
I don't want any flack about the gay Jacob. That's
just how Mojo and I see him as.
Maybe Aria comes in and objects to
the wedding and Tali knocks her out.... Kal is there to help her
though.
All still being debated though.

lol well I can think of a few more lively songs but I feel more connected to Tali than most of them

Dear Tali, My final Valentine's Tribute to you, even thou its 2 hours late by my clock.

One Word
Thats all you said
Something in your voice caused me to turn my head
Your smile... just captured me
And you were in my future far as I could see

And I dont know how it happened but it happened still
you asked me if I love you
if I always will

You
Had me from Hello
I felt love start to grow
The moment that I looked into your eyes you owned me
It was over from the start
You completely stole my heart
and now you wont let go
I never even had a chance you know
you had me from hello

Thats the first part of the song

Yea sadly nothing else really changes. The biggest difference with Insanity is that the mobs have increased values for shields armor and health as well as their damage. The number of mobs and such doesnt change. I did notice that using my level 30 shepard import made the first 2 missions much harder than using my level 3 mass effect 1 import. Probably because they also scale it to your level.

Aye! I've noticed that as well - even without playing on "Insanity". I'm a bit disappointed by that decision to be frank. I was looking forward to bulldozing my way through the opening level with my Revenant AR. No such luck. Had to wait until I got onboard the Normandy. Also, the infuriating auto switch to lesser weapons as they become available in the game and there's not always a weapon's loadout locker in sight. That could have been done better BioWare! Also, the complete lack of any of the upgrades we purchased for the weapons clearly make their presence felt when the enemies have scaled up but our weapons haven't retained their bleeding edge capabilities.

Legion: Tali-Creator I can help with your problem
Tali : And which problem is that
Legion : I understand you want Shepard-Commander to see your face
Tali: I...what?!
Legion : My optics include a sensor array that can scan and form an image of what is behind your helmet
Tali : No!
Legion : ....and we do still have image data dating back to the dawn of our awakening when the Creators walked upon the home-world without suits....
Tali: I said No!
Legion : We do not understand. Do you not wish for Shepard-commander to see your face?
Tali : I will only say this once. Scan me and I will overload every circuit in you till your core processes  functions at speeds before quantum computing was invented. You'll be the slowest geth model in existence. Do you understand me?
Legion : *looks up, then down and stays silent*
Tali : Good.

Heh I have to agree with you on that one. But I realized that my ME2 imports start with 5000 less resources and 130,000 less credits so I quit doing that. I just import my level 58 shepard from ME1 now cause I love starting with 330,000 credits. I can buy out most of the citadel and Omega before I do any missions

Crysis had the best highest difficulty I've ever seen in a game. It wasn't just the enemies getting tougher to kill, but several gameplay aspects changed. On the highest difficulty there was no grenade indicator if there was a grenade near you, you couldn't drive and shoot the mounted gun at the same time, the Korean soldiers stopped talking in English and only talked Korean, there were no crosshairs, headshots were mandatory, etc.

It was just awesome. I rarely play games on the highest difficulties since I don't like feeling frustrated, but man in Crysis it was just so rewarding. It genuinely felt "challenging", not just "harder"

It definitely works, since I played on Veteran for my last game, bumped it up to Hardcore for Haestrom and then got my Pulse Rifle at the end of that mission ( it's in the room where you find Tali ). And it's pretty good, very accurate at long distances and for long bursts, although the magazine is a bit tiny with only 40 bullets. But up to 480 shots in total, so you can go on for a while before running out of ammo. It is a bit weak against armor, so Incineration Ammo really helps.

Hmmm, I was thinking.

What if Shepard, met Tali Halfway? Instead of Tali doing all the work Shepard could have himself altered to be more compatible with Tali. He's already a undead cyborg with possible Cerberus overrides so it's not like his body is sacred. Tali could also alter his suit to keep him cleaner.

Legion: Shepard-Commander! We require your immediate assistance with Creator Tali'Zora!!
Shepard: Legion? What did you do this time? Scan her omni-tool again?
Legion: No... we offered to facilitate unit cohesion between Shepard-Commander and Creator Tali-Zora through use of our optic scanning and projection database.
Shepard: Uh... I just mostly hurt people Legion. If Tali said no and you pushed the matter... well I think I would go lock myself in the AI core then
Legion: *pauses head flanges flexing repeatedly looks down then up at shepard* Advice noted and accepted. We will be... Hiding as humans say.

I like it a lot, actually. It'd make classes define the character more.
