Now would any of you be willing to risk the procedure mentioned on Illium for Tali? The one with a 40% succes rate
Oh I know what he's talking about. Theres some kind of Immuno-Booster advertized on Illium that promotes permanent immune system boosting, but with a 40% success rate. I assume the 60% remaining means harm or death, I would never risk 40% with Tali, not even 95%
What about 99.9%? I mean she did risk his shirt in her suit (wink wink at your FF)
Nope, I would rather have her immune system become used to me naturally. There is almost no risk that way, and if anything did happen, it would be minor.I wouldnt call that minor. And thats pretty risky too. Just because you were lucky the first time doesnt mean it will be the same each time
Actually like she stated, the most inimate thing they can do with another Quarian is link their suit environments. They adapt to eachother. With Shepard, when she is with him, she gets used to his presence with the proper use of immuno-boosters and herbal supplements. Should be no problems at that point.
I don't think that the procedure on Illium is like some kind of sergery or insta fix. I imagine that the procedure on Illium is simular to how quarians adapt to each other when they link suits. Only instead of just one person they'd be slowly working toward adapting to an entire invironment. And that its a long term program. Like physical therapy or something. Also I think Tali was exagerating due to her immotions about 600 years. If it took that long quarians would have never been able to colonize other planets in the first place.

Anyway, beginning to see lots of polls with less of a Tali turn-out... I think we may be causing a bit of backlash.
to all the non-fans: Bioware gave us lots of interaction and a special mission with every ME2 character... chances are, we'll all get what we want.
(ME3 will probably be a multi-disc set... 4 dvds... or 12 cds... or 45 cassette tapes... uh.. wait-what?)

But its strange, at the console in the Alerei she says it could take 60 to 600 years for quarians to adapt to a different enviroment, yet her Aunt 'Raan says it took her a week to adjust.
Might this be because quarians are not "Alien" to eachother?
Correct, it's easier for them to adapt to eachother because they have the same genetic makeup. However I believe when it says it could take 60 to 600 years they are speaking of a planet, not a sterile environment with an alien individual. Like said, with the right medical treatment and natural exposure, it shouldn't take long at all, and no problems should arise.

No, no surgery. But there is still a small success rate, not even worth it whatsoever. I mean when they first physically touched eachother's skin, she had the sniffles and a feverish cough. Nothing major, so you figure it will only get better after some time. Given the symtoms, that won't be long. But if it were an entire planet, it would take a pretty damn long time.

If you see polls that involve tali post them here so we can show support. I keep missing several of them.

She said 600 years on a planet that is not their home planet.
THat is because that colony would not be sterrile
Also: The quarian homeworld has bacteria that help that adjust, this is why she says it would be 60 on their homeworld.
Sorry for being unclear, I don't realy know how to explain it.

I just wonder why, in all the romances, you immediately jump from smalltalk to sex. what is up with that? for tali it makes a bit of sense, she cant leave the suit, but do you never have dinner? or just look through one of the windows together at the vastness of space?
also, what is the specific reason that quarians are humans cannot reproduce?
Yeah i hope in ME 3 the just continue the LI that you have and allow you to have more romantic scenes that develop the love other than just have sex.

Their DNA is the exact opposite, what's on the right for humans is on the left for Quarians. This means their amino acids are totally different and make reproduction impossible.

That explanation doesn't make much sense, both pairs can be set both directions in humans, so why wouldnt they combine normally? The problem is probably that they have other than 46 chromasomes, or genes are located in a different area of the chromasomeRaoulG4668 wrote...

I been thinking about what Tali said 600 years. And on second thought I think she may have been reffereing to the entire fleet not just an individual. Its clear that quarians can adapt to new enviros and other species. cuase they've done it before. so Tali clearly should be able to adapt to shepard. maybe not in a week like her aunt did but perhaps a month or something. However if they were to colonize a new planet it might only take a month for each individual to adapt, but you couldnt just drop the entire fleet on there at once. Adapting requires support and rescorses. And probly more so for a foreing enviro. So if they colonized a new world do they would need to go down in small groups at a time to adapt so they don't overtax thier rescorse base. And hypathetcally doing 100 individuals at a time with 1 month for each group to adapt, and millions of quarians on the flotilla. That could take a long to to shuttle everyone.

First: Tali was in love with you since your adventures in ME1, she was just that you din't feel the same. Also, mask.
But yes, its jumps to physical contact pretty fast.
Thats why I would like to see a DLC with a date.

Eh, my Xbox had the RROD, so I can't go and check the codex or anything; and I'm no Biology major. I just know that due to genetic makeup, it's impossible. I just write (according to feedback) awesome FF's
