Yeah, no, Zaeed will not work. Purposely put him as that to kill him, actually. Again, just for a certain playthrough, not 'cause I dislike him. But yeah, even if loyal, he's not suitable.

Garrus makes the most sense since he is a good leader. IMO he should be XO and not Miranda.

 /shrug Telling ya I have done 3 successful runs on Insanity and Normal 1 insane 2 normal with Zaeed leading both fire teams and lost noone.

Another possibility is loyalty. I have always had full loyalty with the entire team.

To be perfectly honest if people die on the final mission it is probably not who you set for a team leader.

Legion/Tali both are best for the tube.
Garrus/Zaeed/Miranda are best for 2nd fire team leader.

If the tube person dies its because you took to long to clear the first leg  of the mission. The longer you take the higher their chances of dying. Same thing on the 2nd leg of the mission

Samara/Morinth/Jack are best for maintaining the barrier but if you take to long someone will die either in your group or the fire team

And on the final mission again if you take to long someone you left behind will die.

Each leg needs to be completed in under 5 minutes each to ensure no deaths

Yeah best way to ensure no one dies in the final fight bring a fully loaded cain....takes out half the Human Reaper HP right away..also when shooting down the tubes each time you clear a platform of collector the tubes open ( if your a soldier you can break em all with a good sniper and adrenaline rush)

I had it too...the only differance was that I did not talk to Tali much as a female shep. I wonder if the loyality changed and I didn't notice.

I had full loyalty too, and he still died. Are you completely sure you're remembering correctly? I know he'll do fine for the first fire team leader, but he died as the second.

It is Garrus, Jacob or Miranda for the fire team leader. Zaeed shouldn't be picked for any of the special tasks if you want teammates to survive.

Aye I was having a hard time with completeing this mission with no losses the first time I went through it so I looked up the tips.

First factor is loyalty, 2nd factor is who you chose.

BTW it is possible to complete the first leg AND use JACOB in the tube. without anyone dying but you have to literally run through the entire stage hitting panels and hardly stopping to kill anything. If i remember correctly using a non tech person you have to do the stage in 2.5 mins

She lets basically everyone call her "Tali", I wouldn't read too much into it. I imagine, if I were female, and someone called me "ma'am", I'd find it weird too. Sounds pretty... "old".

I had full loyalty too, and he still died. Are you completely sure you're remembering correctly? I know he'll do fine for the first fire team leader, but he died as the second.

If Zaeed died on the Biotic part its probably because you took to long to get through it. I have had him take the hit in the gut and just keep going like all the others do. Never have lost a teammate there. The only time I have lost a teammate on the 2nd leg is when i used Jack for the barrier and she faltered at the end. Thane got eaten by the swarm

Just beat the game again earlier and everyone survived. One of the best, most action packed endings to a game ever. Bioware can sure produce quality gaming entertainment!
