Ok another question then! Does anyone else miss being able to walk onto the Normandy, go around the ship, then just walk back into the docks? I think it is kinda silly that everytime you get on the Normandy you have to be flying somewhere... even when you dont have a destination joker is zipping through space it seems like.
Yes. While I think ME2 is the equivalent of a 38 kilo ton explosion of gaming goodness and brilliance there are a few things I miss and/or preferred from ME1, such as:
-Docking stations.
-More weapons and armours which could be switched around at any point during the game except for armor switches during combat (note: the individual armor pieces in ME2 is the one armor section in ME2 that trumphs ME1 IMO).
-The Mako rides. Yes, I'm one of the players that actually rather enjoyed those bone shattering vehicular acrobatics.
-More character skill trees. While there is a lot more upgrading going on in ME2 than initially meets the eye, I do feel that the character skill tree has been pruned just a bit too much.
-Themal clips. They work but I think I prefer the overheating system although that system does not encourage the use of multiple weapons. However, in ME1 any character could use any weapon but without training in it the effectiveness was sub-par - this is both realistic and gives the player more choice.
-I didn't use biotics that often in ME1. I started using biotics more often in ME2 but still not as my main forte. Nonetheless it seems some of the "punch" has been removed from them.
-I would have liked the level cap in ME2 to have been higher since my Shepard reached level 30 by the time he has his first face-to-face chat with the Illusive Man on my second play through. The rest of the game will do nothing for my Shepard's development.
-I would like it if Shepard could run a bit faster withotu using "Boost" given the distances involved in the game in many areas. Also, jump and duck functions not dependent upon sliding up to a wall or object for cover would be much appreciated.
-I miss the size of the Citadel from ME1 compared to ME2 although it was at times somewhat overwhelming. Rather it be a bit too big than feel crammed and not do the Citadel superstructure justice.
-Party members' interactive chats while walking around (or waiting in elevators). Please bring these back or implement them they way it was done in DA:O, BioWare!
These are just the first things that come to mind off hand.
