Not as hard as you may think they can do what did in Terminator Salvation, a mix of  classic  movie custom  and  CGI.  

I have a feeling the Halo got canned because they could not get a  good script... and if you get are going to get Denziel Washington to play Master Chief you better have and damn good script.

Good point.  mind you, at least we got a good movie, District 9, out of that.  In the end though we, as Tali fans, will never accept something so basic as Tali NOT being the main LI.  We know that ain't going to happen...

If its single shot 2-3hour movie, it will not do the ME story any justice at all. At the least any movie dealing with the ME story needs to be a trilogy.
I am afraid this project is doomed to failure. EA might try to push for it, but I can't honestly see how they are gonna pull it off unless they are just gonna say, do a "prequel"  and tell Shepard's story from the Skilian Blitz perspective.
So, no Tali involved here. 
Of course they would have to introduce a "new" romance interest who has to be a hot "teen babe", and cast Shepard maybe a "hot teen hunk"... images of Starship Troopers casts comes to mind.

Well, it might be a possibility that the movie will explore a smaller part in the Mass Effect saga. It doesnt need to explain the entre ME trilogy to be a good movie.

I'm still not convinced that there will be a movie. A lot of high profile things have been planned as movies and never got past planning stages, and this continues.

Believe me mate, i rarely count things out.  I just don't count them 'in' very often.  Especially when they have a nice, beautiful human woman to shag.  Plus, I she wears a helmet.  No helmet wearing people in movies have happy endings.  Look at Darth Vader!
