Funny. I'm currently writing one, didn't want to post in this thread before completing it though. Really wanted to start off as a person who contributed something)
I've got some experience in writing. I've created a ~150 pages long fantasy novel some time ago, almost got it published. Unfortunately a few days before the original was to hit the printer, publisher said "nope, sorry, we changed our mind, you're not famous enough" >.< figures ...
Anyway, I better get back to writing, will be sure to tell you when I'm done ^^

Thank you for the compliment and having taken the time to listen; it's much appreciated. I'm sorry to hear about the bum deal the publisher pulled on you. Sounds like you do have some "heavy" experience though, so any pointers and/or suggestions to new beginners would be much welcomed.

I only find it funny that some people explode with self-righteous rage at the thought of a possible Mass Effect movie, without any knowledge of a.) the producer, b.) the director, c.) the story, d.) the budget, e.) the actors.
There have been several fantastic movies of sci-fi or superhero properties in the last decade, an obvious huge "franchise-in-the-making" like Mass Effect would get the attention it deserves.

I don't want a Mass Effect movie. I'm sick of Hollywood constantly doing this and crapping all over something we like. I especially don't want to see this happen to Mass Effect,!

Apparently Quarians are also naked in there... as a bunch of warm soapy scrubbrushes keep them nice and squeaky clean....

All my previous work was done in my native language, polish ^^ And yeah, bum deal >.< We've got a periodical "Nowa Fantastyka" in my country, like the most renowned fantasy/scifi periodical, and about 13 pages of my novel were printed there. So, theoretically, my work was ... acceptable Still, looks like it's a long way for me to try to push into the normal publishing. Anyway, if there are any questions, please feel free to PM me
