According to other threads of horrible characters that you have to choose to keep alive because both are just so terrible to begin with Bioware wanted you to kill one at least, we apparently write "rape fantasies."

I'm gonna say it now, because I know no one in this thread has even come close to writing something of this manner, to show people how sophisticated our thread is. Apparently one post out of 31,000+ calls for the need of generalization.

So to "all of those" writing "rape fantasies." I'll ask you nonexistent people to please cease and desist your actions. While your opinions and values are shared, it seems you nonexistent people will be held accountable for creating a stereotype of those of us who love Tali.

Apparently we're all uneducated Neanderthals.

Very interesting, she said she watched Shep's face on Virmire, so if not love there was at least compassion which opened the door to further feelings, esp since Shep treats her as an equal and gives her a way to maybe change perceptions of other races toward the quarian people (stop saren). Let's admit it Shep also gave her attention, which it seems to me she has a few daddy issues..... Sorry if this it late, probably on different topic now, I have/keep getting blank pages or page 5 for some reason.

Yeah, I think Tali feelings really become deep for Shep after some time spent talking to each other and getting to know each other. But I do feel like an initial crush starts up right when he first invites her to join his ship.

I hate to agree, but "daddy issues" might be somewhere in there.

I'm kinda of intrigued by what planguy said about xenophilia on the quarian end.  That's not usually a theme since in general we get the human perspective.  I can see how that might be going on:  after all, humans walk around uncovered and all.

As a side note, the Life Support Harness greaves make Shep's legs look more quarian.

You guys should really stop constantly adverstising FanFictions, it gets a little annoying after a while. Like once every few pages or so is fine, but I'm constantly seeing them.

I also don't have enough time to read everyones.

I haven't really been reading any Mass Effect fanfiction, let alone Tali romance fanfiction, but I've got to wonder what "rape fantasy" means. Did someone read one story of that nature and generalize? Or is the idea that just plain liking Tali is a rape fantasy for some reason?

Jealousy, envy and fear can be such ugly things. I don't mind those people disagreeing or even being annoyed by our enthusiasm towards Tali, personal freedom to choose and all that, but if they were willing to sit down and have a civilised discussion I think we'd both find the other if not likeable then at least tolerable.
