I hate to agree, but "daddy issues" might be somewhere in there.

I'm kinda of intrigued by what planguy said about xenophilia on the quarian end.  That's not usually a theme since in general we get the human perspective.  I can see how that might be going on:  after all, humans walk around uncovered and all.

As a side note, the Life Support Harness greaves make Shep's legs look more quarian.

I think it's very interesting looking at it from her perspective. Even though there were feeling, how did she get over 10 fingers and toes.  I'm not taking away from her feeling for Shep by saying daddy issues, but she felt very little love from her father, and her mother is dead, the only other quarian males to approach her were probably only do so for political/social gain, so she was probably very disconnected from those feeling. She even says Shep sees her for who she is (maybe not just refering to suit?). She may be a little damaged, but aren't we all.

Jealousy, envy and fear can be such ugly things. I don't mind those people disagreeing or even being annoyed by our enthusiasm towards Tali, personal freedom to choose and all that, but if they were willing to sit down and have a civilised discussion I think we'd both find the other if not likeable then at least tolerable.

Very true. People do tend to generalize based on isolated incidents or, as I believe is true in this case, toss out accusations based on previous experiences with other groups not unlike our own. Regardless, whether it be out of ignorance or spite, such comments are uncalled for and I do hope they avoid them in the future. :x

Not really "daddy issues."
Rael'Zorah not cold or unreachable.
Just has difficult time expressing emotion, and very busy.
Tali'Zorah appears very well adjusted.

Gotta reach 1,000 pages first though: to my knowledge it has never been done on a Bioware forum!  If anything, we need to do it just to see if it breaks down after hitting quadruple digits!

Agreed on all counts, and especially in regards to all of us lugging around emotional baggage. Only newborn babes appear to be devoid of such. 'Tis a part of living and growing. The question is what you decide to do with that baggage.

I think all the pressures and expectation might have had something to do with it, too.  In ME1 Tali makes a point that as an admiral's daughter she was going to have to have the Pilgrimage to end all Pilgrimages.  Just being allowed to do her thing on the Normandy (and manage to save the galaxy by being in the right place at the right time) was probably a nice change.

Heh, too many fingers.  And how do they walk, let alone run with those tiny toes?  Humans as exotic; a little hard to wrap one's mind around. 

Come to think of it, quarians probably have a base-6 counting system.

The would never write her off for three reasons: 1 they love Tali like us, 2 we would absoloutly storm bioware if they did write her off, and 3 they are probably betting for it to get to 1000
