don't know if anyone else that read ascension picked up on this: one of the quarians that was running along rooftops on omega was able to easily jump 15 - 20ft from rooftop to rooftop with a loaded pack and shotgun. So I think the world record long jump is around 25 feet and pretty sure it's done without a pack, shotgun, or environmental suit. So either the suit is powered to enable quarian to run/jump faster, or they maybe something to this quarian pounce thing.

I haven't read the novel, but I always thought that with their pseudo-digitigrade lower legs that they might have been sprint or ambush hunters rather than endurance hunters like humans.

Maybe nocturnal, if their eyes really are reflective?

If quarians are sprint or ambush hunters they probably wouldn't sweat. I think sweating was one of the advantages that humans had developed to be able to do our impressive endurance running in order to hunt.

Deeper and deeper into speculation, of course.  But it's an interesting discussion.

On the subject of Rannoch being more arid:  that would also support a more prominent nose to better moisturize inhaled air.

Didn't the Quarians immune system adapt to living on the sterile Flottila and become weaker?

Suggesting they adapt to their enviroment and living in suits for 300 years may have changed their apperance from their original.

Also when Tali gets sick on the Normandy Shep can ask about Quarians living on other worlds,and Tali states they go through a period of sickness adapting to their new world.

So I think their apperance is completly up in the air for Bioware devs,How did they look when they walked upon their worlds unmasked,up to 300 years of being in suits behind masks in clean enviroments.So now they can pull from all of this and create the perfect Tali face...oo my bad I mean Quarian. I vote for a pale skin.Colored but pale.

I don' \\t think their appearance would have changed very much. 300 years isn't much room for evolution. the only resason their immune system changed is because it was built to adapt quickly.
