Phew, I'm back.  Being an awesome fiancee and long term partner ain't easy! :pinched:

I'd like to take a short moment to ask all you new guys to check out my literary master piece, Mass Effect 2: Dark Rendition.  I just posted the latest chapter today and I'd appreciate any feedback you could offer.

"Well, I suppose I can shave it off it bothers you, Tali. Most humans prefer to keep it off anyway." Shepard responds, smiling lightly.

"No, no. It doesn't bother me. I, actually kinda like it..." She responds in a cute, girlish tone, reminiscent of how she admitted enjoying Shepard's yelling after her trial, and continues to stroke it Shepard's facial hair, staring at him.

I just thought of something.... will the romance with Tali be enjoyable in ME3 if its a legit relationship? I think alot of the fun in ME2 was discovering Tali as a LI. It was fun because Shepard and Tali were discovering eachother. will it be fun now that the mystery is gone? You never really got to see you ME1 that much. I wonder how that will play out..............

Speaking for myself, yes. I want more. Loads more. What was unleasheded in ME2 is only the beginning as far as I'm concerned.

I’d want more as long as it seems done well. I don’t actually want Tali/Shepard right at the start. There should be issues between them.

I'd prefer that ME3 immediately continues with Tali's and Shepard's relationship where it left off, or very shortly there after with some background info mentioned either via e-mails or dialogue options, from ME2. It should still be feasible to incorporate challenges, issues, concerns, etc.

The problem of your LI being expendable still lies though, don't forget that. They would need to have a hell of a lot of extra characters in ME3...actually...just thought of this, perhaps your team is already assembled based on who died and who didn't, no more recruiting. Those that are meant to return from ME1 do so, and everyone that lives from ME2 returns as well. Therefore, the more that died in ME2, the harder a time you will have in ME3. I don't know if anyone here has thought of this, but it certainly clears my mind of all technical issues...:P

I just found the answer to the problem I just brought up...what a useless post.

I am kind of hoping for some expansion pack that could be used as a vehicle for that.

Heh, my Shep's face is stubbled, too.  The first thing I thought when I got to the romance was, "crap, shoulda shaved."  Facial hair (any hair at all, really) and sterile environments don't mix well.

My pants may be getting tighter, but my work pants are already god-damned tight. Not around the waist, really, but the groin and thighs. D:
Speaking of, at my friends house. He lives close to my work, so I decided to jog here on my break. And we're not at 1000 pages yet? For shame! Open the love-flood gates!

Why do you think so? I'm not sure we should, at all, be forced into problems in the relationship at the very start. We should get some sort of indication before hand. I do want Tali/Shepard at the start, as the romance ended abruptly and it just makes me want some sort of conclusion. I'm fine with some hardships along the way, so long as there is a road to a happy ending.

I don't perceive that to be a problem. Will the potentially diverse story lines players can get entangled in make for one hell of a "family tree" of story lines to plan and design for? You bet; Casey says as much during the net radio interview with Bombcast. Is it impossible? Nope. BioWare got themselves in to this mess and appear to be fully up to the task of gracefully extracting themselves from it again. In simplistic terms "all" they have to do is follow every possible path each character can have according to existing parameters they have laid out for them. Follow them to their various logical conclusions. Do this for each character. Line it up with the main story and it's possible outcomes. Now ensure that the various story cross threads match up at critical junctions. Hardly a simple task yet it should be do-able with lots of meticulous planning and elbow-grease application.

P.S. And yes, your solution is a logical one and would make a lot of sense with the theme of "your actions have consequences", etc. which has been reverberating from ME1 to ME2 and looks set to continue in to ME3.
