Why do you think so? I'm not sure we should, at all, be forced into problems in the relationship at the very start. We should get some sort of indication before hand. I do want Tali/Shepard at the start, as the romance ended abruptly and it just makes me want some sort of conclusion. I'm fine with some hardships along the way, so long as there is a road to a happy ending.

I second that, the prospect of a colossal cat-fight between Liara and Tali is just too appealing.  That will be one of the defining moments of gaming for me.

Can someone tell me how to change my signature to one of the Tali gifs? :(

I can't figure it out and I want to support !!!

Find one of the banners you like and open it in a separate window.

Go to your profile menu on the left and select Profile>Forum Settings.  There will be a box you can put a signature in.

Copy the banner image from the new window you opened and paste it in the signature box.  You should be set!

I don't perceive that to be a problem. Will the potentially diverse story lines players can get entangled in make for one hell of a "family tree" of story lines to plan and design for? You bet; Casey says as much during the net radio interview with Bombcast. Is it impossible? Nope. BioWare got themselves in to this mess and appear to be fully up to the task of gracefully extracting themselves from it again. In simplistic terms "all" they have to do is follow every possible path each character can have according to existing parameters they have laid out for them. Follow them to their various logical conclusions. Do this for each character. Line it up with the main story and it's possible outcomes. Now ensure that the various story cross threads match up at critical junctions. Hardly a simple task yet it should be do-able with lots of meticulous planning and elbow-grease application.

Ah...well...It seems we are the elbow-grease, considering we got major dev attention, at nearly half the amount of pages we have now...^_^

In Quarian culture, would Tali see Shepard as a "boyfriend" now or as a "mate"? What might be the implications for this cross-cultural mix up!?

Heh heh.  Wouldn't kill MY mood :P

Certainly less awkward than a shepard/garrus relationship.

Think about this though.  Sleeping with a member of a species that highly values intimacy as a rare way to cement two people together for possible, and needed, breeding is something very different from humans who hookup and hangout.  What if Tali already assumes you "put a ring on it", as they say, and Shepard is just trying to "feel things out"?  Its like an episode of Friends..but with Aliens..

Tali looks at Shepard's face, and gently strokes his cheek and jaw line, running her fingers through Shepard's facial stubble."Quarians and humans are the only advances species with hair, and quarians never get it on their bodies or faces. It's...somewhat alien to me to see a face with hair on it..." She says softly, continuing to stroke Shepard's light beard.

"Well, I suppose I can shave it off it bothers you, Tali. Most humans prefer to keep it off anyway." Shepard responds, smiling lightly.

"No, no. It doesn't bother me. I, actually kinda like it..." She responds in a cute, girlish tone, reminiscent of how she admitted enjoying Shepard's yelling after her trial, and continues to stroke Shepard's facial hair, staring at him.

*sigh* I'm melting here, Sergio. Keep it coming.

Thanks! :D It occured to me that humans seem to be the only ones with body hair (and while there's no confirmation of it, I'm pretty sure Quarians have hair on their heads, the way they all drape cloth over the helmets of their enviro-suits seems like a way of mimicking hair), and I kinda wanted to play on that.

(Laughs) I love these talks. Epic Win. Jumping back though, I've always had this weird...I guess "Fetish" (that sounds horrible, I know) of hearing Tali call Shepard something akin to, "My Love," but in the Quarian tongue. Sometimes the Omni-Tool Universal translators don't work completely, like when Tali called the Starboard Core Drive a "Bosh'tet." We know it pretty much means, "Bastard," but the Translator sometimes doesn't reach that conclusion. Anyway, I think it would be pretty damn Romantic...and kind of Hot.

Because the start of the game should feel hard and hopeless. Not that Tali/Shepard isn’t there, but there should be a problem. She is missing, hurt, in the middle of a warzone, something is wrong, etc.

I'd be okay with that. I don't go for casual sex in my real-life anyway as a general rule of thumb.

Shepard will leave Tali, but not for another woman..but on the mission, knowing full well he will perish and she would follow. But he goes where she cannot follow. Into death and into darkness. Goodbye Tali.

Yes, you're right.  A muttered, sexy-sounding and untranslated quarian phrase said offhand would be simply awesome.   Has my vote
