Wise artists like BioWare will listen to what we, the fans, want, and do what they can to implement our ideas. Tali as a LI is a prime example, but if we wanted, say, Legion as a LI, they could ignore us. Will we be upset? Yes. If something is impossible, due to technology constraints, time constraints, breaking character, won't fit in the story, etc., it will not be done. If Tali's character forbade her to fall in love with Shepard, then it would not be done, and I would accept that (fanfiction will take over from there, since it is free to reject established reality and substitute its own. This does not make it good.)
BioWare's staff knows what can and cannot be done. If the fans can be accomodated, we'll know. If not, then so be it.

Agreed with Sorrow, it's not our game, we don't choose what to do with it. In all honesty it was better seeing Tali open up to Shepard that way, and then Shepard completely opening the door for her rather than seeing an actual sex scene. Time to move on guys.

Hey, it's not like he listens to the fan anyway! /sarcasm
But yeah, it's not Tali related. Back on topic for us!

So true. Agree 100%. Gotta have "I love you" for the final game in the trilogy.

Concur. Love has much more meaning than a simple one night stand.

I dont need a sex scene for my femshep/Tali romance. I just want them to express their feelings. Physical is the easiest, but verbal can be just as effective. Romance =/= Sex.Collider wrote...

Okay, let me say this about the "love scenes."
It wasn't mainly missing the T&A...although it is a bit weird where
basically in every single one they all keep their clothes on now (this is also the case in Dragon Age).
But when it comes to Tali's love scene: Bioware wrote themselves into a corner on this one from a story/game development perspective. Whether you wanted to see Tali's face or not I hope you can agree with me on this one...
They
take the entire game to set up that you the player, are in fact
Shepard. They do an excellent job at making sure all actions, choices,
things you do and see are one and the same with your character. After
you make these choices you see the rewards or consequences in all its
sadness or glory. Tali's "love scene" is the only moment in the
entire game where they pull you away from being Shepard and back to
being the player. This is the one moment where you and Shepard have different perspectives while things are going on screen. If
Bioware didn't want us to see Tali's face then Shepard shouldn't have been able to see her face. If (for whatever) she couldn't have taken the helmet off then I would have been fine with that (yes, I would still be curious what she looks like, but I wouldn't be frusterated). It was that the character I was playing got to see her and I didn't.
This
is what threw me off from both a story perspective and a character
development perspective. So in the end my initial argument isn't
whether I got to see her face or not to fullfill my own curiousity. It
was the jarring point in the game where they had all this build up, all
these promises, but no pay off. While in the process of disconnecting
the player from the character. Say what you will, but that's the way
it was written.
Does this take away from me loving this game? No...not
in the least. I have never been an actual "fan" of a certain game in
my life...that is until Mass Effect. I'm not taking away anything that
the Developers did. I applaud them for being amazing story tellers and
taking on a project like this. This was the only moment in this entire video game where I was disapointed as a fellow developer that they took this route. And that in itself is a huge compliment...15 seconds of disapointment compared to the 50+ hours of applause and amazment. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]
*laugh* This is like the only topic that gets my irish blood going...

Uh, maybe Tali has no romantic feelings for femshep. Not every female character has to be bisexual :l.
But let's not talk about this. Clearly, Tali is a male-only romance.
I would love for Shepard and Tali to exchange "I love you's" as well as some hugging, holding hands, and kissing

I feel as if Garrus was a one night stand. the whole relationship was so rushed, and was more about his humorous attempts at wooing femshep. There is a connection, but it is not as developed as the others.videowiz186 wrote...

I had her in one of my dreams a week back or so. For about 2 seconds. Can't even remember what happenedin that dream. She didn't speak or anything, just kind'a.. saw her, and that was it.
Nothing wrong, though! Just don't go and make a life-sized pillow doll of her. >.>

Agreed. Kind'a disappointed how the only mention of 'love' so far is when your LI from ME1 talks with you on Horizon, and they say "I loved you..."

I do think fanfiction would be the best place to let Talimances develop. Shepard is, to an extent, you. You can then insert yourself into his place, doing what you would do, and the romance can develop as you see fit, whether you want you and her to go at it like drunk monkeys every day or live a (relatively) quiet life.

Eh, that's a bit too active for the average person. Most people don't attempt this. However, I do admit that I was incorrect. But like I said, most people don't actively try to influence what they dream, and in the process, rarely ever have the ability to.

I like when you are doing Mordin's loyalty mission on Tuchanka, if you have Tali with you, while you are giving the krogan scout a "pep talk", Shepard says something like:
Shepard: You? I said a badass, not some scout whining like a quarian with a tummy ache.
Tali: I'm standing right here!

True, though they might be doing it without realizing it. If you think about something a lot during the day, especially before going to bed, it might crop up in your dreams.Collider wrote...

THis is especially true if you spend quite a bit of time hanging about on a Tali thread before you go to bed. Heh heh
