Wasn't it possible to have a kid with Aerie in BG2/TOB? Afterall, Tali's assault drone Chikktikka Vas Paus is a reference to her.

Then again, the optics thing is a reference to Minsc.. and you couldn't have a kid with Minsc.

Don't think so unless Mordin can figure out a way to somehow splice human and quarian genetic code together.
Proably will cause more problems for the kids ...or create one super "human / quarian" variant who can eat both human / quarian food.

I don't think so, two different species.

Mixed breed, genetic engineering.

Don´t think it would work. Micro and Macro evolution anyone? Two that
are not of the same kind can´t have children. Like a dog couldn´t give
birth to a mouse or a cat. And even within same "kind"(sloppy term imo) like crossing a
horse and a donkey, they could evolve over severeal thousand years and could
become incompatible to for example a certain kind of horses. So
basically two different kinds will never have babies together.
It´s simply impossible.
And to the Asari as far as I know they don´t need to have actual sex it´s more like a melding process. Don´t know how it would work in a real aspect though but it´s a videogame after all.
So why not a kid with Tali

Hey now, some of the gaming ladies here on the boards like their love interests to look like men, not animals! B)And we certainly don't all think you guys sit around writing rape fantasies about poor Tali all day long. Tali's an awesome character, I was always a little sad there weren't a lot more dialogue options with her in ME1, so I was super happy to see her again in ME2. Having her around and getting to act like she's the little sister to my femshep is a lot of fun - plus she was good enough of a friend to let my Shep whine on and on about Kaidan after Horizon and bit her tongue instead of telling her how boring and lame he was anyway  ) Playing my first maleshep now to check out her romance. Props to you fine folk, for keeping the Tali love going for so many pages, if that's not worth a new Achievement, I don't know what is!

But HIGHLY improbable. And impractical.

That's were Mordin comes in.  Just rewrite DNA.

Yeah, hopefully it doesn't mess up and create some odd pig-dragon-chicken-dog hybrid, which generally happens when DNA is rewritten due to some scientist messing up one little strand

I've been toying around with a story for the game with that. Mordin developes a retrovirus using collector technology that can rewrite someone on a base level and can change the chirality in an organism. Offers it to the young couple and Shepard can become Levo, or Tali can become dextro. The process would not be comfortable, not without complications, and most likely one way. Paragon choice would be for Shepard to go through it himself, pretty much leaving human normalcy behind. (reproduction, food... different diseases), He also has an edge being human with natural genetic diversity. Neutral would be for Tali to choose... and Renegade would be getting Tali to go through the operation... which would have a fairly high chance of risk and mortality.

It's just a little scenario I have been toying with.

I can see a few pockets on her arms and her thigh but nowhere else. Maybe theres some underneath the fabric that criss-crosses her suit.

No, it gets the shock that he's alive out of the way, plus puts him back into her mind that he's around. She may have pushed him to the back of her mind, she had 2 years to get over the loss.
