Yep, and Bioware made that choice. Doesn't mean you don't have options, you just don't have the options you wanted. And my point is that even if they had provided a same-sex option, there would still be complaints by some that they wanted a different same-sex option. And if there were two, there would still be complaining. And if all the characters could be romanced by either gender people would (and are) complain that they should have been able to bed the doctor, Counselor Anderson, or that Krogan that talked about fish at the Citadel.. It's a never-ending subject.
I was talking about something else. They ALREADY gave option for lesbian characters in ME1. Since everyone assume sequel will be bigger and better with everything (hey, straight people get 6 romances!), just a month ago everyone thought it's clear there would be something for lesbians in ME2 too. And we get nothing.
I'll repeat: the worst thing in it is a fact they have taken it from us, if they didn't give it in a first game, reaction would be much calmer. So don't pretend to be suprised.
Second thing: you're trying to trivialise those demands by saying there will be always complaining about something that someone wants to add. You've mistaken quality with quantity of those romance options. I'll be happy with even one f/f LI, because for me those other romances are really not options, I just can't feel comfortable with them, so I'm excluded from enjoying that part of the game.
Try use your empathy for a moment and imagine how you'd feel like if there were only gay romances, even in great number. You'd still use your argument that there's enough romances and no need for another one? But we know it won't happen, so lucky you.
BTW many gals are saying they will gladly pay for DLC that gives the possibility of any same-sex romance. That shows how much it means.
And guess what, not only lesbians prefer f/f theme.
Last but not least, fans of we all know which companions get their LI's cause they were constantly demanding that, so sorry Sarkus, it has to be done that way.
And for the author of that topic - you already have romance options with talking lizard and fish.
BTW, so it's clear it's OK for having relationship with completely different, even beast looking species, but same-sex romances can't happen.
