Pretty self explanitory.

I dont know how feasable this is, but its quite frustrating. Helmets in the game are optional, so to some extent I can see the reasoning in having them stay on during cutscenes. DLC armor does not allow that option.

I know I'm not the only person disappointed with this, especially how useful the armors are and how pleasing they can be too the eye. They dont look cheap and it seems to me BioWare put effort into making them look top notch.

Its a shame that helmets remain stuck on our characters during cutscenes, or that there is simply no option to have them off. We're given the option to craft our own Shepard, and even the option to import, and thus it is disappointing to have them covered up. I know myself and a number of people have deliberately avoided using the DLC armor entirely because they cover our Shepards face.

As I said I dont know how feasable patching this would be, and frankly I suspect this would be very low on the patch/content priority list if on it at all, but I think it would be a nice change to the game that would encourage players to use the armor they've earned from pre-orders and collection buying.

!!!UPDATE!!! Please join this group to support this change!

I learned about this before I got my game, so I havnt even touched them ingame. They are now worthless to me. What a waste.

Hopefully people will voice some support for this in this thread. I'm not confident it will change anything, but it would be really nice to be given that option.

I agree. Actually I don't need anything more than one of the following:

1. Helmet Toggle (The Best, if Bioware patches this in, they'll get props from me and many others)

2. Helms gone during cutscenes (This just makes waaaay too much sense to not be in the game, although it doesn't have to be during scenes where helmets are pivotal for survival, such as battle conversations, and in the abandoned space station).

Those glowing bolted-on spitoons (scorn is for effect; I like the helmets, except for the Inferno) is one reason I don't use the DLC armors; I spent way too much time working on my Shepard's face to have it covered up. The hell of it is, they're the very reason I bought the CE version, pre-ordered, etc..

I agree completely. It is absurd that Sheperd can drink wine with the doc while the helm is on. It looks utterly ...

i wore the dlc-armore until the last mission because of the helmet. the style of the complete armore is way better as the ugly "standart"-armore and the face for me :)

I know its a different game engine, but at least in Dragon age they do come off during cut scenes so they should be able to do it in this game to.

Signed. I don't use a Blood Dragon armor because of this. 'Tis a shame to have your face hidden under a helmet all the time.

If it can be patched-in, please consider it.

The Blood Dragon armor has a really damn nice texture and model too, one of if not the best of the four bonus armors.

But no matter how nice it looks I cant see my Shepards face. A face I used across the original game and through this. Why spend time crafting the face, only to cover it up? And BioWare, why spend time animating the face only to offer armor that forces a cover up?

Agreed 100% - I am wearing the Inferno armor but tired of not "connecting" with Shepherd. Please release fix or option Bioware.

Absolutely, it just breaks the involvement for me when I drink at the bar THROUGH my Termi Armor. It also does effect your interest level (in cutscenes etc.) in your characters development and story.

My 2 cents...

Personally, I like the Blood Dragon armor, even with the helmet on, but I still want the option to be able to toggle the helmet. Can't say I feel the same way for the other two DLC armors though; both look pretty bloody terrible with the helms on.

its quite funny when you encounter characters from ME1 and they recognize Shepard even with the blood dragon armor on

Eventually game devs are going to think enough to have certain places that will require or give you the option to check in your weapons and armor before entry, it's hard not to feel overdressed at places like Club Afterlife, if you can dance and order drinks you should be aable to check in weapons and armor

Offers Bioware a cookie for reading this thread and immediately taking action.

/Whispers to Stanley Woo: I know its your game and your the dictator of it; but Bunky the Wonderclown* spent a lot of time and effort finding a CE Mass Effect from a Gamestop, so he could have the gorgeous armors you guys
whipped up**.  Unfortunately your virtual acting is, also, top notch.  This puts Bunky and all of his clown friends in a very tight spot.  You see, we want to appreciate both of your masterpieces [armor, and acting].  Unfortunately, right now we have to pick one, and my poor little consumer brain cant handle it.  But wait theres hope, you guys with your super smart artist-dictator hybrid brains can release me from this tortuous conundrum.  You could make a helmet toggle or, at the very least, rip the collectors armor apart*** so that we can toggle the helmet on or off.  Don't think of it as us, the stupid consumers, telling you, the almighty Fürher, how to paint your chef-d'oeuvre.  Instead, think of it as the Bourgeoisie asking you to install a new spotlight with a swivel feature.  They really really love your product but need your help to bring it to the next level.

*Im not clinically insane
** Seriously this game looks like your Christian God splooged onto a canvas (which is a good thing). The artist for this game need a pat on the frakking back.
***How hard could it be for them to make an interface, exactly like the one that is already there for n7 armor, with a scroll bar just for the helmet?

Its even more fun to see Shepard drink some  Turian Brandy without taking of his Helmet

One thing that bugs me is that when I don't have a helmet on, and I go into a place that needs a helmet it just puts the default helmet on you.For example I really like the Death Mask, but I don't normally wear it because its weird during conversations. But when to a place like the Migrate Fleet, where I have to wear a Helmet, it gives me the Default Helmet instead of the Death Mask because I didn't put it on before! They should set it so you pick your Helmet, but then set whether you want it on or not, and allow you turn it on or off at anypoint (like ME1).

bioware has to remember who they are making their games for, US, if we dont like the game and if we dont buy the game bioware does not make any money, so bioware better listen to us PAYING CUSTOMERS,(i bought my game from amazon and it has not arrived at skybox yet which delivers my game to my country), i paid the 47 US dollars for the game which is equivilant to 297 tt dollars, plus 100 tt dollars for shipping from skybox which is 17 US AND I WANT to fully enjoy the game.

so hopfully bioware would come up with a patch for the helmet toggle.

*SPOILER*

anyone else who was alienated when the whole team didn't wear a helmet when they left the normandy and walked into the collector's base? you could clearly see that they were in space!

/*SPOILER*

it's just weird that you have to wear a helmet either all the time or never.
