I've never used the DLC or preorder armour because of the helmets, which is a shame since they're a perk for both preordering and not buying used. The DLC armour looks great, but I'd take weaker stats to see Shepard's face.

The community has spoken Bioware - put the damned helmet toggle back into the game.

Count me in. Even if a Helmet Toggle button can't be added to the armor configuration menu, it might be possible for helmets to be automatically removed during conversations (similar to what was done in Dragon Age). Hugging team mates with a helmet on kinda feels wrong...

Signed. And if Bioware is too lazy to fix their mistake, I hope the mod makers will be able to compensate for that. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The thing is it may be too hard for them to fix.Sauronych wrote...

I understand that it is going to take time, assuming it's even possible. No harm in having some hopes:)shep82 wrote...

Has there even been 1 person here who agrees with having the helmet permanently on? I think walking around the Citidel with my Collector armor on would realistically frighten people! I think it's fair to say that any armor they release 99% of people won't use anyway. It shouldn't be that difficult to do, just have another armor made up that doesn't have a helmet on your Shepard, Please Bioware, the helmets do look cool but we need to be able to remove them!

should not have excluded the helmet removal and color change scripts for the ARMOR SET DLC'S in the first place tsk tsk tsk....when accessing the armor locker.....SO you can mix and match helmets with the ARMOR DLC'S or totally remove the helmets and change color to if so desired ....BRING BACK THE HELMET REMOVAL AND THE MIX AND MATCH SCRIPT......FOR THE ARMOR DLC'S....GAMERS HAVE SPOKEN...HEED OUR FEEDBACKS !!!

Helmets would be ok if they didn't ruin Shepards voice quality. I just don't like him sounding distant and vacant.

Signed. Even if color modification would be too much work, a removable helmet is a must for the sake of believability.
I was excited about all the DLC Armor, especially the Collector's Armor, until I found out the helmet can't be toggled and isn't only in place in the appropriate situations, and removed in inappropriate situations, like the other helmets.
Because of that, I have been unwilling to use any of the DLC Armor.

I would love it you could take the helmet off the DLC armor. I dont use the armor just for that fact, they just end up collecting dust back on the ship while im using the boring customized N7 armor. I'd totally rock the blood dragon armor or even the cerberus assault armor if I knew I wouldn't look like a tool duroing cutscenes and conversations XD

I downloaded these as well and definitely never use them for this reason. Its not a complaint, but definitely am for a mod to remove helmets.

You know, before I read this thread I was right with the mob. I don't use the dlc armour because of the helmet issue. It looks ridiculous. However, the sense of bloody entitlement in some of these posts is just mind boggling. I mean, write down what you plan to say, step back and read it. If you sound even remotely like the drunk at a stop-check screaming at the cop about how your taxes pay his bloody salary so he has no right to arrest you? Delete it and start over as a sane person.
Removable helmets would be a big plus, but let's not act like bioware needs to jump because we said so. A little perspective from the crazy brigade, please.
