I will definitely sign that petition. No matter what armor you are using you should ALWAYS have the option of not wearing a helmet just like the original game. This CAN'T be that hard to fix. Good grief.

Yes, please add a fix to enable helmet toggle for DLC armors.
During conversations I really want to be able to see Shepard's face. It's very disconcerting to see a huge faceless helmet. All my DLC armors are unused because they break the immersion factor.

Thread, 100% Signed....
Got the Terminus, Cerberus, Chitinous, Inferno, and Blood Dragon Armors and I don't use any of them because I can't see shepard. Very Akward feeling.

DLC armours are the very reason i bought a CE copy , though would be really nice to have an option to toggle it like ME1 had.

+1 vote. I don't use my CE, Terminus, or Cerberus armors at all because I can't see my Shep's face clearly enough, or in the case of the CE Chitin armor, not at all.

I don't mind running around with a helmet on missions. But in most (all) non-combat areas, I'd love to not have my helmet on.
With that, I'd also like to add that I find it retarded that I'm in full battle-suit on noncombat areas such as the Citadel, but meh, I can live with that. Living with helmets, however, is a no-no. It looks absolutely ridiculous and I'm not using any of the DLC armors because of it.
And that's just sad.

First off would like to say Great Game... But as far as the dlc armor's helmet being forced on all of the time is stupid,
and to say that theres nothing that can be done cause the fact the dlc armor/helmet is a single piece of artwork,
is like the counselor saying Oh the "Reapers" we dismissed this claim,
And the last time i checked we woke up in a cerberus base how the hell did we get an N7 armor, should of started out with some kick ass cerberus armor,
but anyways its still great game and ive played through it a few times already, cant wait for more dlc packs or a patch,
but toggle helmet options has my vote

at least have them come off for dialogue scenes, drinking through my helmet is just ridiculous.

I keep seeing this thread and I also keep thinking "but I don't do petitions"... but what the hell, those helmets need to be sorted out! I agree with the others in that I don't spend my time creating a character only to have them hidden and effectively replaced with a generic protagonist that could be anyone. Even though my current character is an ugly troglodyte, I'd still rather see his face!

Walking around in a "spacesuit" while in public places seems overboard. A no-helmet option would indeed be good.

Agreed. At the very least, helmets and goggles should automatically be removed for any dialog scenes.

Add my vote. Seriously, the armor looks awesome but I refuse to use any of it if I can't remove the helmet. It totally would ruin all the dialogue sequences. It should be like ME1 where we could toggle helmet whenever.

With you. Given the amount of customization for the original armor i was shocked that the cerberus armor didn't even have the option to take off the helmet.

What about a mod to remove the helmets, would that be possible, maybe with the ini editor?
#172
Posté 17 février 2010 - 12:25
It's only possible by changing the model, as far as I know; unfortunately, unlike Dragon Age, I don't think it's possible for modders to add new items to the game, so it'll have to be done by BioWare.mdunn1066 wrote...
