It's alright... we aren't creepy about our favorite characters... not like those weird Talimancers.

So... she is pooping a singularity.

She can poop a singularity, if she wants to be tidy.  Otherwise, it goes right in to the gas tank.

But the thing is it seems they only planted a seed for a romance and left it at that.

This is the teaser here and the question is where does it go from here.

Samara: "Shepard, is it common for humans to speak about excrement?"
Shepard: "Depends on the human, and if there's alcohol involved."
Samara: "Oh.  How strange."

Alright... but sometimes it's good to make fun of the characters we like.  It's how we keep our thread from becoming crazy creepy like the Tali thread.

If Bioware's writers could author a Shepard & Samara romance based around subtlety, both for the players, through artistic direction, and for the two characters, through their interactions with one another, I would support a romance in ME3.

EDIT:  By artist direction, I mean clever use of the camera, lighting, and the body language of the characters.   My fellow Jackolytes pointed out the clever use of camera during the scene with Jack where Shepard talks to her about Murtock.  The camera is up close, slowly circling around her, making her look as if she's trapped by her memory of the man, and by Shepard, for having asked about him.

Yes, I read some of the stuff from B/A on the same sex romance issue. My reaction was something akin to this...

What year is it? I mean, if your making a game for "mature" audience at least offer a true position so your consumers can decide whether, or not, to spend money on your products. Opinions vary greatly on the subject. Personally, I support fair representation.

Hmm I wonder if the elusive nature of Samara's semi-romance will allow them to be more creative with it should they choose to include in the third game. They could make it so that, depending on the choices you make, if you both survive a "final confrontation" to save the galaxy in ME3 only then can you consummate the romance. I don't know if the next game is gonna be left open like this one is so I don't know how plausible this idea is, but its an intriguing possibility.

Biotic blushing? Are we talking about flaring the biotic corona?

Yes. It normally flares when she's in combat, but also flares a few times during conversations, as if she was troubled by what Shepard said and briefly lost control over her biotics. Something totally involuntary, like blushing among humans.

I'm not sure if it was intended by the devs, but that's how I interpreted it.

At least we don't worship Samara to an extreme degree, some of the other threads about favorite squadmates are downright cultish. I think it's healthy to have a little fun with Samara. :)

I posted in the Ashley thread one time.  I said that Ashley was my favorite LI from ME1 and that she was cute and tough and only wished that she would lay off the poems a little.  Someone told me to STFU and GTFO.:o

Indeed. They often remind me of some of the nutballsPosted Image I used to run into years ago while modding for BG. I recall a few that could no longer determine that (insert fav char) wasn't a real person. Quite a frightening thing to witness, its one of the reasons I appreciate the occasional run of silliness here.Posted Image

I wonder if the day will ever come where someone will follow in the footsteps of a certain Japanese chap and actually marry one of Bioware's characters.

I love joking around and being silly.  I had to start using more symbols when talking to others in other threads, because I will be joking with them sometimes and they will take me seriously.  It's obvious to me, but perhaps not to others.  We don't have to be serious all the time IMO.  As long as we don't get cultish, then we are ok.:wizard:

Apologies if this isn't welcome, but BioWare needs help in the Escapist poll. Vote here if you haven't already and support BioWare for the good work they've done!

Yes, DV, please do. I'm curious as well. I remember(vaguely) some guy in India marrying a dog, or something, but never heard of this one.

Edit: nevermind I found it...Eek!!! Is about all I can say.
