I agree with you on that.  It sucks they didn't take past decisions into consideration.   It had the 'what have you done for me lately' vibe.   It's a shortcoming to the romance.

But that doesn't make sense to somebody who actually cares for Tali. That sounds more like an experiment to see than anything else. If truly care for Tali you wouldn't do those things. Just like a Renegade personality should not care for Samara with all of her beliefs. The fact that theres a renegade option for "casual sex" with her pretty much shows that Renegades and Samara do not match.

Well, it's interesting how romances 'feel' different depending on your role. Personally, I found my romance with Miranda very satisfying as a Paragon who objected to Cerberus and challenged her on it every chance he got...made her final decision to leave feel like a culminating moment of her arc.

Similiarly, if you're renegade and romance Tali, it feels like Tali is so blinded by her Shepard fangirl-ism (or his incredible charisma) to notice that he's a terrible person.

Which is where I give the Jack romance a lot of credit, because it actually has seperate paths.

I don't see you influencing Samara to be more 'renegade', though, like you can with other LIs. Someone a thousand years old is pretty set in their ways, I assume.
