Hey NICK, why did you call the Zaeed dlc planet Australia?  That flash bang grenade she has is just as good as concussive shot I think too.  I  haven't taken he on any other missions but 1, but she seems to be a pretty versatile squadmember in combat so far.

The planet Australia is a joke from an IGN article.  The flash bang is better than concusive shot because she can use it regardless if there are shields, armor or barriers.  She makes the Jacob comment when you click on her after the first mission you take her on (the Quarintine zone for me).

Also.. if you mix two drinks at the bar and drink them then Edi will tell you where the restroom is.

I've actually edited my save game to remove the Liara romance flag. Given how much I've developed Ash as a character since the first ME one-shot I did, she just wouldn't have been with Liara. I added a stroke of deep personal pain to what happened on Akuze (losing a lover there)

So Liara just bluntly bringing it up would've brought up Ash's walls permanently. *thinks to herself*

I liked it fine. It didn't blow me away with it's sheer awesomeness or anything but it's enjoyable to read Mass Effect material in comic form, already being a comic book nerd anyway. Worth at least checking out and seeing for yourself.

I never have been a comic book reader, but I probably could get into ME.  I still haven't read the novels yet.

The novels have been fun, easy reads. I liked Ascension more than Revelation, though. They are coming out with a Mass Effect ongoing (monthly) comic series set after the events of ME2 done by the same team that did Redemption. If you love the Mass Effect universe and looking to explore it beyond the games, I would definitely recommend checking it out through these mediums.

Just wrapping up month-end while listening to Samara's ME2 OST track... sublime!

re:Black Angel, I think it's a great exploration of the Sole Survivor background. I look at Samara through the eyes of a War Hero, hence my picturing the friendship/romance relationship slightly differently. The bond is there, the emotion is there, but the connection comes from a shared willingness to sacrifice oneself to protect others. Kindred spirits that bond for the same reasons they choose to remain apart.

I was amused to notice that Ashley Williams was among your least favorite characters... seeing that Ashley is a Sole Survivor herself (her unit being wiped out by geth instead of thresher maws). Have you given thought about writing a little one-off about Ashira fighting a thresher maw ON FOOT with Grunt and Samara? I imagine that would be worth a read...

Hmm, I did a small humor one-shot for the aftermath of that, when the breeding request for Shepard popped up. But now that you bring it up, that would be interesting.

Those of you that have the Kasumi DLC may be already aware that Kasumi has input regarding your Shepard's romantic life. Surprisingly enough, she has something to say about Samara! A thanks to BobbyTheI for digging it up.



Samara: "Someone saw Samara stomping out of her room really upset. Were you trying to get together with her? Because I really don't think that's going to happen."



And in regards to Morinth: "Listen, I think Morinth is going to come after you. Don't fall for it. Seriously, it's tempting, but she will kill you. Promise me, okay?"

edit: Maybe it was, we don't know, perhaps the animator's just thought her actually stomping would just look weird. Or Kasumi's just poking Shepard...with a sharp stick.

Just had an idea for a small one-shot. Including Kasumi's comment, ryncol, and the fact that there's a bar in her room. Brooding Shep is brooding - chats with Kasumi?



Not sure what would be said, but it's a flicker of an idea.

Cant tell if this is good or bad news for Samara and Shepard. On one hand its shows that she was upset, but on the other, maybe its the developers way of telling us it aint gonna happen for them. Kusami seems to be like the developer's mouthpiece lately with lots of in jokes; if you romance kelly Kusami makes a comment about how she thought that kelly was hitting on her too, so bioware are obviously poking fun at ****ty kelly!

Ah-hah! So that just means it won't happen in ME2! We already figured that; goodie.

Well, it's good that they acknowledged it. It's up to interpretation for the most part. Is she upset because she knows she cannot be with Shepard? Upset for having feelings for someone (seeing it as a weakness?) despite her self-discipline? Upset that you were coming onto her in the first place?



Kasumi just might agree that Samara's dedication to being a Justicar is gunna win out no matter how Shepard approaches a relationship with her.
