Hmm, I did a small humor one-shot for the aftermath of that, when the breeding request for Shepard popped up. But now that you bring it up, that would be interesting.
Quote: Although Ashira's first reaction to the thresher appearing was to swear like there was no tomorrow and dive behind the nearest piece of rubble. Then she came out with the oh so useful piece of information that she had a phobia of the creatures.
Now I just have to make a much more serious version of that and have a flashback, and end with a gory thresher maw death. Perfect :3
Playing a War Hero, I've always seen Eric Shepard as an otherwise ordinary human soldier, whose inner strenght came to the fore during the blitz. When things started going south for his unit, he inspired them to overcome their limitations and play the best role they could play. He got the medal, but the whole unit actually earned it for him. He matched a soldier's weakness with another's strenght and led through example. I've played him with a strong afinity for military types, duty tempered with a profound desire to spare others the worst of armed conflict.
He's an amalgam of several military archetypes, including Maj. Richard Winters ("Band of Brothers"), Cpt. John H. Miller ("Saving Private Ryan"), Col. Colm Corbec ("Gaunt's Ghosts"), ordinary humans made heroes by their very humanity (both failings and strenghts). While Samara will be attracted to different versions of Shepard, she'll be attracted by what makes each Shepard unique.

Lol. This is what Samara would look like if you made an unsavory joke to her face.

Anyone else think this is representative of that which goes unsaid?

Now off to read Black Angel, then play Samara Loyalty mission. I wish I hand known about the other 3 before I read Fractured Soul

Those of you that have the Kasumi DLC may be already aware that Kasumi has input regarding your Shepard's romantic life. Surprisingly enough, she has something to say about Samara! A thanks to BobbyTheI for digging it up.
Samara: "Someone saw Samara stomping out of her room really upset. Were you trying to get together with her? Because I really don't think that's going to happen."
Well, I'm still hoping for the possibility of having her as a LI, but if it can't happen then I'll be just as happy having her as a squadmate.

Good morning people. Had to update Fractured Soul with an Author's note at the end because of this guy->
(if not read the story, best to not read the guys review, contains spoilers, and so does my following reaction)
Tense and well written, although I honestly cant see Shep losing it the way the story portrays.I'm a little confused about the ending, has Shep taken on the persona of a Justicar? If so,disturbing, indicative of serious mental disorder.
Thank you for not logging in or giving me any form of replying.
Added to the end of the chapter:
Author Note: Due to a recent review, I may need to clear up something for anyone reading this and confused by the ending.
Ashira has taken on the persona of a Justicar, and yes, whilst how she's "lost it" in this story may not be how you picture your Shepard reacting, this is how I view mine doing so. As a developed character by now, I know how wounded Ashira already is as a person; she fell madly in love once, and that person died on Akuze while she was running to her for saftey. Since then, she hadn't let anyone get close enough to touch her heart. I realise this conflicts with the implied Shepard/Liara in my previous one-shots, but I only came to this conclusion recently; I've still been developing Ashira as a character and person.
Ashira fell hard and unexpectedly for Samara, so losing her like that was just the final straw for Ash's strength. She's saved the galaxy three times now; her purpose is gone - the reapers are destroyed. And the only person she's ever loved since Akuze died.
End Author Note
Seem reasonable?

Absolutely. A role-playing game is about creating and playing a role/character, not managing an inventory... What direction a player wants to push his character towards is ultimately a matter of personnal taste. One might dissagree on your choice of direction, but that doesn't take away from the character's richness and originality. As I always say, wether the story's ending is happy or sad is not as important as how well told it is, and how it touches the listener.AshiraShepard wrote...
That's...alot of screens. Not sure how many I have. *scratches head*

Just picture a paler body than this and you've got Ash-Shepard in a little black dress...seriously.

Strong-bodied woman...*cough*
The reason I picture Ash like that is because her first incarnation, as an original character; was a military, experimental, tank-grown super-soldier. Dainty and petite never came to mind.
I'll just be leaving now. *hides under a rock*

*ahem* Not sure about the motivational... to me, it looks like a mighty motivation to work out regularly (purely for health reasons of course)...AshiraShepard wrote...

But given the level of technology available in ME, gene enhancement therapy and implantation are probably commonplace among the military in general, and among N7 marines classification. Chief Williams underwent near-sightedness correction through gene therapy, for instance.
It's reasonable to assume Shepard started off ME1 with some form of standard issue enhancement package. Most biotics require implants to operate anyway, so adding a few extras is really not much more trouble (like sub-dermal ID chips to facilitate body identification, for example). It's nothing that's illustrated in the game, but could be used in ME fiction. TIM obviously opted for some sort of optics enhancement/replacement...

That motivational is pure nonsense. There's a reason She-Hulk appeals to so many men.

I wonder if TIM actually needed to have that done to his eyes, or did it just for the hell of it to creep the living hell out of people. "Look into my glowing demon eyes and I'm sure you'll find the best of intentions..."
