Edit: Since the forums seem to hate me quoting that...

Anytime I have got to the "You are a good friend to me" conversation I only ever have the casual sex option. This annoys me greatly. <_<

But Samara is great. Love her. I need alot more screenshots of her now that I think about it.

As I've said before Samara is unique. You can't be interested in any one else.

I think her loyalty mission is the most interesting and I always look forward to playing through it again. Love how they set it all up outside the club then Shepard has to go in by his/herself and hope that he/she can pull it off. Then you have to do all these actions to get Morinth to notice you, its quite intriguing. Then of course the first time I played through it I certainly was not expecting that choice to come up....Samara or Morinth. I was like really? No way I can be that evil.

I had problems with her loyalty missions at first. I didn't use the super obvious answers to Morinth because I thought they were just that- super obvious and they wouldn't work. So I tried all the other answers and found out that you can NOT ask her about family or Justicars- she goes and gets those drinks. :lol:

Once you figure out what to answer, the mission is a breeze. I couldn't believe they gave you a choice of kill either, but then I remembered the 'renegade' players would need that route.

I also love the part right as you get to the club and Samara does that funny little wave from behind the box... makes me laugh every time for some reason.

I love her loyalty mission.

"I'm just going to dance near you, if you think I'm dancing with you, that's cool!"

Only works with Shepard's amazing dance moves.

But seriously, having Shepard be out of his usual element, alone and unarmed, is an intriguing set-up. It's one of the most pure role-playing moments in the game; none of your equipment, skills, or statistics besides paragon/renegade matter. I look forward to replaying it because I didn't get to do everything the first time.

Samara is indeed one of the most interesting characters in Mass Effect in my opinion.  She is my favorite character in the trilogy so far and I am really hoping she will play a role in Mass Effect 3.  I was at first disappointed that there was no Samara romance but now I'm glad there wasn't one in Mass Effect 2.  I think a romance with Samara at this point in the trilogy would have totally contradicted her character; not necessarily her Justicar oaths but her values as a person since she makes it clear that it is not against the Justicar code to be romantically involved with another person.  She's a very strong and wise woman who has experienced a lot and suffered a lot.  She has had to kill her own daughter who she states she was very proud of.  All 3 of her children are Ardat-Yakshi and she has dedicated the past lonely 400 years of her life hunting down her daughter so I don't blame her for not wanting to get romantically involved again.

I thought the scene where Shepard asks her for more than just friendship and then is gently turned down was more powerful and emotional than the "real" romances.  I almost teared up when she walked out of the observation deck.  It is obvious that Samara really cares for Shepard but she is not ready to just abandon her current values and deeply held beliefs for some quick fling with Shepard.  That made me respect and like her character even more.  It also made me want her more.

I'm hoping that Samara continues to fight the Reapers with Shepard and that there is some form of a romance with her in Mass Effect 3.  I don't want it to necessarily be just about getting to some sex scene  but I would like to see a stronger emotional relationship form between Shepard and Samara.  Samara said she is no longer interested in romantic relationships and I know she knows herself well, but there is still a part of me that hopes that that is not really the case.  It would be really nice to see her change her mind on romantic relationships as she gets to know Shepard better in Mass Effect 3 because I think there could be something really great between the two of them.

I was very impressed with Samara. As mentioned before, she is very regal.

For someone past 30 like me, I suspect she is very attractive with her mature personality.

Her design is flawless. If I was not desperately in love with Tali she would be the one (if you could).

S'morinth?

no j/k i too prefer Samara. Her face radiates cougar-lasers and her perfectly m&m shaped breasts are nothing short of fantabulariffic. not sure anyone had pointed this out in here yet so i thought i'd drop some gilf-science on the subject.

Yes! I felt the same way and have been voicing this opinion on about all the Samara threads :). I always go into my first playthrough not knowing who the actual "LIs" are. Otherwise you know who they are and your just waiting for that point to come. Obviously you can set yourself up for disappointment this way but I find it a much better experience than knowing. Once I saw Samara and learned more about her she was by far the most intriguing character to me. Here's hoping for the relationship to continue in ME3! Image IPB

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!

All of this!!!!

Woo hoo!!!

So glad there are Samara fans out there not obsessed with her orbs or outfit or the supposed 'she's full of contradictions' story.

Makes me want to go out and be a Justicar I tell ya...  :police:

So, did Samara tell anyone else's Shepard that she would kill them if it wasn't for her swearing an oath to you? I got this on my most recent ME1 import and was pissed. I think she only says this when you're renegade (in the dialog option where you would get her to almost kiss you). Really disappointing since Samara's personality/Justicar way would have been perfect for the Shepard I imported. :(

I've heard of other people saying that.. yes, it's cause you chose renegade.

now how can you expect to date a Justicar who upholds the law if you're a renegade?

That's like a cop dating a drug dealer.

Make another game and be a Paragon and then you get different options with Samaracakes!! <3

I betrayed Samara only to have Morinth be so close to her it made no difference other than to make me feel pretty guilty and like that was a pointless betrayal. I wish there was another way besides killing one or the other.

Is it guaranteed that Samara will die if I don't do her loyalty quest?

no guarantees in this game except fun!

I was able to get Legion and Jack out alive with neither of them loyal so anything can happen.

Just don't use any unloyals for any missions at all or they will most likely pass on.

I don't understand how you think there are "so close" to each other. They don't exactly have the same motivations. Morinth is addicted to tracking down and killing innocents. Samara follows the Justicar code that compels her to kill the wicked and unjust. The reason that you have to kill one or the other is because if your a Paragon there is no way that you can let Morinth to continue to do what she does. For a Renegade, Samara is basically your antithesis.

I don't think its guaranteed that any team member will die if they are not loyal. But I have never played the final mission without everyone being loyal so I don't know for sure. Doesn't make much sense to me to do that unless you want to experiment.

I actually think what they meant is they are close look wise. At least that's what I gleaned from their words.. I've been wrong before though!

Lol. Well there have been some people who didn't really understand her character so I guess I just assumed :). I apologize if thats the case.

I guess people don't want to discuss Samara like they do everyone else with the hundreds of pages in other character threads....jeez I think its just me and you Nadia anymore lol Image IPB.  Give us your thoughts on Samara everyone! :)

Nah, it's not just you and Nadia who want to discuss Samara.  I posted my wall o' text a couple days ago and pretty much felt that got my feelings on Samara out.  When I feel the need I'll post in other threads but I'm just not an avid forum poster.  I will try to post more and show my support for Samara because she's my favorite character.  It's nice to see others who like Samara and I like to think there are quite a few Samara fans out there who just aren't as rabid as the other characters' fan which is why she doesn't seemingly get as much forum attention.  I won't be naming any names lest I want to attract any unwanted attention from crazed fans, hehe.

I like Samara a lot, hell, my Pseudo Renegade/ Pro Humanity Shepard sided with her over Morinth even though that means she will try to destroy me once this is all over, just have to much respect for Samara.

Im not pro humanity but I im on the same boat as you here. Samara is my favorite Asari by far and I really dont wanna have to kill her in 3. She would have no chance haha.
