I really do love samara right behind Tali funny how those two always draw me in. Anyway I was trying to romance Samara and she told me in her maiden days should would already have had me on the floor i was like  wooooo then the next time she got all emotional and walked out on me of course i went looking and she was looking out the window in the crew quarters.  She likes that im persistant so she better watch out come me3 cause im still gonna be pursing that.

The lack of Samara support is disheartening, I must say. I absolutely loved her from the minute I saw her character trailer and, unlike Jack, I found I actually grew to love her even more as I played the game. If she's not in ME3 in some major capacity, I will be very disappointed.

Not us over at the Jack thread!  Still on first iteration with 25 pages.  As we've said over on our thread, though... it could be worse:  we could be Jacob fans. <_<

I recently replayed the game with My female Shepard and Samara is a good character and it changed my view on here. I just found her loyality mission a little uneasy and disturbing

I love Samara. Not only is she a great character with a unique and interesting story and outlook on life, but she is beautiful! Her eyes are especially mesmerizing

I thought it said a lot about her that she would go as far as she did to fix the mess Morinth made. I felt so sad for her, but I'm glad she finally got closure out of that. I can't remember the exact line, but when she says something about Morinth being the best of her children, it totally broke my heart.



It's too bad she probably would have snapped Shepard's neck if he had attempted a hug interrupt then...

yeah, so did Samara! but if my kid was out murdering everyone they could, i would seriously consider ending them too.

Sad and unfortunate, but it had to be done.

What really creeped me out is Morinth imitating Samara... I only saw it on youtube because i could NEVER kill Samara in any of my games. :innocent:

She does? I can't (and never want to) kill Samara in my playthroughs.  I will definitely have to look that up I guess.

But yeah. Those lines killed me. Even now, when I haven't played ME for days it still affects me.

I really hope we get to see more of her in ME3 because of a lot of reasons, but just think of all the interesting stories and personal history she'll have to tell Shepard after living for 1000 years. If she isn't a squadmate (which I guess will be understandable as she is a justicar) then Bioware will be missing out on a lot of really cool possible dialogue options, imo.

I find her quite ugly, her voice gets on my nerves during combat and had no intentions to romance her, but what a strong character

I think it would be totally awesome to have Samara in ME3-- I like her a lot more than other characters from ME2, but I'm not optimistic she'll have a huge role in ME3. The more variables involved in keeping a character alive, the less likely they'll be a critical character. I also think some characters, like Miranda, are so plot-central that it's hard to write them out for other characters.



I still have to put Garrus, Tali and Liara ahead of her, but that still leaves lots of open party slots.



At the bare minimum, I'd like to see Samara as a character witness or something when you're trying to convince the asari to help you against the Reapers. She deserves a damn good cameo if nothing else.



I actually like that you can't romance her: it showcases her discipline and strength. You empathize with her more because you know she demands such intense self-control. I've only played paragon Shep so far, and she's like a role model and a peer all at once. Although, not romancing her is horribly ironic-- I think she's the most physically attractive asari in the game, even without gratuitous cleavage, lol

Samara always seemed a bit cold and dull to me, too much archetype and not enough character. My main issue with her, however, is that her idea of justice isn't really congruent with my own. If given the choice, I would not have taken her along to begin with, for roleplaying purposes.

After hunting her daughter down for 400 years, Samara has had a long time to reflect on her painful duty. She mourns her daugther and the sad necessity of her inevitable confrontation but also was relieved that this was over. "Find Peace in the embrace of the Goddess" was probably never more heartfelt for her...



My Paragon Shepard ended up being a dear friend of Samara, flirting playfully without pushing (being already involved with Ashley)... "Your interest is... not unwelcome. <smile>" was a nice touch. The Paragon Shepard/Samara relationship is mature and subtile, I really enjoyed it.

I am replaying through Mass Effect 2 and she will definitely be in my squad this time at all times. Mordin and her make quite the team!
