I hear it is the GOW cover system.yorkj86 wrote...
I like ME2's combat system more, but I want the combat areas to be larger and more varied. I don't want to walk in to an area filled with crates stacked waist-high and know immediately to take cover. That's poor design.
My favorite mission as far as combat and fighting area is Korlus. I love that mission. Secondly for me would probably be Thane's recruitment mission off of the top of my head.yorkj86 wrote...
In addition, I'd like for areas to be large enough so that I can attack from multiple positions. Mordin's recruitment mission is a good example of this. When you're heading to Mordin's clinic, and you're fighting your way through the Blue Suns, there are places where you can attack the enemy around the side, or sneak up to fire down on the enemy from a balcony, rendering their cover completely useless. That's great. Then, there are other missions, where the whole thing is just one long hallway, and manuevering and tactics amount to walking around a support beam or wall.
I wish they would patch the rest of the game to include flashbangs from the enemy. I didn't notice Reave being used. That is interesting.yorkj86 wrote...
Lastly, I hate the curent heat-sink system. The way it was originally designed for ME2, weapons still had unlimited ammo. You could fire full-auto and eject the heat-sink clip to instantly cool down your weapon, or you could wait for the weapon to cool down for strategic firing. Firing in controlled, aimed bursts wouldn't cause the weapon to heat up so fast that you would have to use either method to keep it cool.
I remember when an Asari merc used Reave on me during Kasumi's mission when her shields were down to keep herself alive. She used it to regain some health. That surprised me. That's actual AI. Why aren't changes like this being made retroactively, instead of being implemented incrementally from DLC to DLC?
