This thread is supposed to be PRO Samara, not 'complain about what you don't like about Samara', there are PLENTY of miserable threads for that so please go to them. As stated in the beginning, keep this thread on the POSITIVE.

The only thing I can find to contradict would be her statement that there are 3 ardat-yakshi currently alive, and could swear she has 3 daughters. Although its possible another of the daughters is already dead.

Her "In another time, another life." thing was far more touching than the actual romances.kelmar6821 wrote...
It took a third playthrough to realize just how awesome Samara's character was, but I've come around. Honestly I'm mixed on whether or not I want to see Samara as a romance in ME3. On one hand it would feel like a betrayal of what her character is, on the other I find myself (in the shoes of shep) truly enchanted with her. But I do know that I want her as a squadie in ME3, for sure.
I'd hate to see them backpeddle on that and make her a romance option. Even if she would be a fantastic one. It just feels as though it would cheapen her as a character.

A friend of mine has a theory that Samara is ardat-yakshi herself. She talks about a wild and violent youth, and that she's taken the Justicar oaths looking for a kind of redemption. It is supposed to be genetic. And it puts a whole different spin on Samara nearly kissing you but then snapping back.

She does have three daughters, but she says that two of them have chosen 'solitude and comfort' but Morinth was the one that took off, not obeying.

no no, Samara talks about settling down as a maiden, it was when her kids turned out to be ardat yakshi that she became a justicar

I love that scene... The inflection in Shepard's voice plus the way she carries herself when she leaves the conference room totally conveys how powerful Samara really is.
Samara is hands down my 2nd favorite SM behind Zaeed.

I also like samara as a character. She strikes me as something of a Paragade, which I would love to be if it werent required to chose one or the other in order to keep everybody loyal. She's willing to kill everyone her code compels her to but it's always for the right reasons.

Look at it from the bright side: the negatives do make your thread longer
Seriously though, to me at least, characters that I hate are almost worth as much as those that I love: they are the spice of the game. imho the worst characters are those that leave me indifferent. So even if I hated her( I do love her) I'd love to see her back in ME3.

I just watched a youtube video where Shepard went with Morinth over Samara because I could never kill Samara even with my renegade but was just curious of the scene. Man that was not fun to watch at all seeing Samara die but even worse Shep helping it happen. Sucked seeing Samara go out like that.
That's the only way I've ever witnessed that scene too. I could never do that, even if I was playing as a renegade. It's too painful to watch.

I didn't even know until very recently that you actually get the "romance" music playing when you attempt to proposition her! That was... sweet and sad.
It was a great scene, one of the more cinematic of ME2, with them silhouetted against the stars, Samara backing to the corner. Somehow both of them seemed so lonely. *sigh*
I hope, what ever happens, that she has a great role in ME3. I don't expect it to be long, but hopefully something well written at least.
