By the way, thanks to the chat in one of my groups, I've just had the terrifying (to some) and hilarious (to me) image of the Normandy crew getting drunk and doing caramelldansen.

Up there next to Shepard and Samara getting stoned if she were somehow convinced to join in? =P

There should be a picture of ME2 has a 2-D side-scroller.  At the top left of the screen, it shows a little "life" indicator with a number, with a tiny sprite of Shepard's head next to it.

In the next frame, Shepard dies.  

In the next frame, the classic black-and-white CONTINUE screen comes up. 

In the next frame, Shepard is back at the start of the level, with one less life. 

In the next frame, the comic reverts back to normal illustration, and Shepard looks expectantly at Samara, who looks back at him without understanding his meaning.

I think it is because Shepard would start a "new" life.... therefore a different life.
