I just wish that they had synced the characters voices better with their lip movement.

i found that a problem in the open sequence. The voices were 2 seconds off the rest of the movie.

And also... Samara brings me back to my wanting of Paladin/Mages in Baldur's gate. Me wantee Mage Pally.

Hey Blackveldt!
It is somewhat of a shame because some of the dialog and camera work
throughout the game looks really good, but the sync takes some of the quality away.  I sure hope they work on this for ME3.

I never did play Baldur's gate, but I assume a lot of people really did love the game from what I  hear.

Do you have a lot of video on that disk. How much would have to be copied off of it if before you reformatted and reinstalled?

To be fair it only costs us $200 to replace a xbox (with a brand new one) where as a new pc would probably cost a lot more.... then again the pc has the edge on graphics (though what I hear the pc and 360 versions of the game are identical except that you can hot key more powers on the pc).

I  want to know more about what non-humans, specifically Samara, think of human religions.  The one Asari on Illium tells us that non-humans think that humans can't even get their own religions straight.  Non-humans seem surprised that humans have so many religions.  Most human religions fell apart with the discovery of the cache on Mars.  Ashley is religious, of some sort.

I'm not trying to start a firestorm, and that's why I wasn't specific with the above.

Apparently a lot of Turians became Zen Buddhists (according to the ME1 codex).

And apparently some Quarians are practicing Jews.  It was mentioned on Cerberus Daily News.  I  don't know if it's a joke, in which case it's tasteless, or if the Quarians actually identify with the events of the Old Testament, which would make sense.

Siari is pantheism.  The Asari are mostly Siarists.

I am a little familiar with pantheism. The Asari would probably relate somewhat to Earth religions I would think.

The Asari seem to have two dominant religions: the pantheistic siari and the monotheistic Goddess. I get the feeling that most references to the Goddess are more a figure of speech, though.

The Turians have something like a spirit worship. Each entity in whatever form has a particular spirit or aura to it.

Mordin mentions Salarians have a belief similar to the Hindu belief of cycle of life.

Then there's the Drell polytheistic beliefs, though Thane implies that its a dying religion among his people.

Obviously, the Hanar think the Protheans are where it's at.

I can see why siari seems to be a dominant religion across all Citadel species. Most religions confine themselves the the making of a single world. Siari encompasses the entire universe.

There are some pantheistic Earth religions. And I can definitely see Asari leaning toward some of the Eastern philosophies. I find it interesting that the Turians seem to be doing that as well, unless maybe they watched too many Wuxia vids.

Sounds like the writers just applied variances of various Earth religions to ME aliens.  I doubt the aliens would regard the human religions as extreme or very strange.

Goes to show how varied our own religions can be? :)

I thought the Turians' belief in a spirit that is mobile and malleable was rather unique.

Turians never struck me as the peaceful meditating type.

We do have some varied religions on Earth.  That Turian one is different.
Nick could talk to you about this.  He has a BA  in religion.

Well give us your thoughts about what york was asking earlier about the human and alien religions.
