I had a vague idea for a little bit of fluff, and I generally don't have ideas for fluff. It's usually dark, angsty situations...as you well know. Maybe it's my brain countering all that darkness =P
Or just that it's so damn hot with my parents keeping the heating on all night that I feel like a fever is coming on (and couldn't sleep).

Vague idea was Shepard being sick, and being rather stubborn about it similar to Grunt's "I don't get sick!"
Only person allowed into her cabin "without permission" as such, goes to check why Shep hasn't appeared for the last two days? =P

Side note: Never played Oblivion before, I was always put off by the first person camera in every screenshot I've ever seen.

If it didn't come across clearly, then I'm sorry; I haven't slept all night. *mutters about heating*

I was trying to give what little outline I have of the idea for another oneshot with Shepard and Samara, and see what you guys thought. (I was wondering if it was just a silly idea - like I said I generally don't write fluff)

Definition of Fluff-> A fanfic which the story has no plot. Only humourous or romantic nonsense.

Apparently Samara can use her Biotics to hover or glide. Too bad she couldn't do that in your squad. Really wish we had less guns and more Biotics.

I rather think the sick Shepard would be more of a story idea for Dr. Chakwas (who, lets face it, has SOOO fallen for Shepard she'll never admit it). But I can see Samara practicing her social skills on Shepard:

Shepard: <coughs and moans, irritated>
Samara: How are you doing, Shepard?
Shepard: <suprised> Samara?
Samara: "Sargent Garner prepared some soup and Dr Chakwas recommended you have some. It tastes wonderful, a popular asari recipie..."
Shepard: "Garner's gumbo again?" <hides under sheets>
Samara: <wondering> "Garner did look at me funny when I commented on it..." <notices Shepard hiding> "For an adult human you can sometimes be rather childish, Shepard."
Shepard: <peevishly, from under the covers> "We can talk later, I wish to feel miserable."<moans exaggeratedly>
Samara: <mimicking Shepard> "I should go."

My writing is always intended to be worth a giggle or two... Yours is more serious in tone but it's better than mine.

It's a pretty good bit of "fluff", Ash...

I find it easy to imagine humorous dialogue between squaddies at the expense of "bullet-sponge" Shepard. And Samara is the perfect "straight-man" to play to the more comical squaddies (and it works even better when we feel she secretely enjoys playing this role).

aw that was sweet, well done Ashira. I like how Samara just steps into a mother's shoes and does what's necessery. I also think Legion would have been great at the opening scene if you would have him give some kind of medical jargon rundown hypothesizing why Shep was sick, and no one undersanding him For a ME fanfic writer he is the perfect comedic foil lol. But I thought it was well done regardless with Garrus being the sheepish freind, Tali trying to be courageous and not living up, and the resident "loudmouth" Kelly just blurting out what needs to be done. Once again, well done :happy:

just a little line about shepard lacking the correct antibodies at this time to suppress the virus. then everyone looking around aimlessly lol. but yeahow u approached it was fine.
