Quick question:

Does anyone happen to have Samara's exact text about Nilus? I've read the masseffect wiki but I'm not sure if she actually says that he killed an innocent civilian while doing something else or if she wandered up on him and it seemed to her as if he intentionally killed an innocent civilian.

Thank you

P.S. Yes this is for Ch. 16 which I'm hard at work on today.

She says she witnessed him kill an innocent in cold blood.  That he was probably on Official Council business but that it was still wrong.

ridiculous, in a "queen of the ball" type of way ;)

Well, honestly.
As much as I may appreciate it, the whole leotard thing doesn't seem all that practical.

@JD... go back and read the face code on that. It will make you laugh even more.

Yeah that was very creative and quite funny of Blasto.

You know the thing is, I don't really dislike the Jacob character personally.  He didn't talk enough to my MaleShep, but neither did Garrus.  I still kinda like the character though.  However I have not romanced him with FemShep either.  I kinda feel like a lot girl gamers that RP FemShep, feel like they got the short end of stick in the LI department.  I can understand this somewhat with some of the dialog and how it is spoken between the two.
If I am not mistaken, Jacob is a somewhat pivotal character in the me canon.

She spoke about him possibly being an honorable man, but she witnesses him kill an innocent bystander or civilian or somtheing to that effect.

Only squadmates dressed for practical combat purposes are Garrus, Zaeed and Grunt. The leotard has sort of become who she is, although we would all agree that it is completely innappropriate for any kind of battle.

Oh ok, I  wasn't sure if LiquidGrape was being serious or not about him and the canon.

I like that... but it would be best if it had the original with "...and that her biotic powers were absolutely badass".

What do you guys think of the overall portrayal of the Asari in ME2 compared to ME1? In ME1 we learn that they are the most advanced and abundant species, genetic chameleons, and overtly diplomatic. Were there any new revelations unrelated to Justicars/Ardat-Yakshi that possibly further enriched their lore for you?

Little hello from a passing Jackolyte organising some pics - here's a couple I had I thought you might like... I think indirect light or shadows really make Samara's skintone and texture really leap out. And she has pretty damn groovy eyes... holds up well against lil' Jack that way. I'll say s'more when I have a better handle on the character - for my sins I've not exhausted her dialogue tree yet.

It was immediately apparent to me that Bioware had a conscious goal to attempt to silence the people who accused the Asari of being Mary-Sues.  So, Bioware showed some of them being mercenaries and criminals and drug-dealers and morally-ambiguous-Justice-dealers and brain-microwaving-serial-killers.

Bioware wanted to make the Asari imperfect.  I think they did well with the Justicars, but the Ardat-Yakshi are just...well, a headache (c wut i did thar?), because they bring up Asari genetics, and we've established that Asari genetics are a headache.

Yay!    Mondo paid us a visit!

I agree with what you said about Samara's eyes.  I'm gonna shoop up some side-by-side comparison pictures of Jack and Samara's eyes as proof.

Yes I agree, they defintely wanted to push them away from what they seemed like in ME1. We meet a lot of strong Asari here, though no one as strong as Benezia I'd say. There's the badass ones (Aria), the completely evil (Morinth), the strong, independant types (Shiala, Seryna), and the irregular (Bartender). Overall a good mix.

For some reason I want someone to write a a fanfic where Morinth tries to seduce Aria, and....GO!

I wish you would write some about the Samara character a few times Mondo.  I enjoy your writing in the Jack thread about Jack.

I will when I get more of a handle on her... she's certainly interesting, but I'm not sure if I like her that much. I've very conflicted about the Code - it seems like making excuses for doing the job no matter what a'la Renegade Shep, yet she's very judgemental of renegade-type actions. I need a better handle on it before I jump in.
