Because it's gotten out of hand and everyone is on their toes in the thread you mean?

No. I meant exactly what I typed previously.

Hi everybaddy,

I don't like how the main reason people think that Samara shouldn't be a LI in ME3 is that she wasn't one in ME2....that's a pretty circular argument. Ftr, at this point I don't think it will happen. But characters are multi-faceted. We had Garrus and Tali "evolve" into LI, and even though the topic wasn't touched with them in ME1, it wasn't completely sealed off either. They left the door open and decided internally and via fan interest to do it. Here we have Samara who while turning you down, very clearly shows an interest. So its not out of the question that her character can expand like Tali/Garrus and open up to you in the future. However, because of the "hole" they sort of dug themselves into with her they've got a lot of expanding to do to make it believable. So please don't say something like:

- she already turned you down in ME2, so its over
- her character in ME2 is a certain way, thus its not possible
- Making her a LI will "cheapen" her character and all she stood for (although this is on bioware)
- Shep and Samara were meant to be "friends"
- Samara is out of Shep's "league"

thank you.

Son, this is neither the time nor the place. This is a Samara thread, but if you insist on pursuing this course of action I invite you to read the OP on the Tali thread. I earned my "stripes" in that place. That I no longer feel any allegiance to that place speaks volumes in some quarters.

Now, as for Samara personally I find her original red outfit to be more fitting of her status as an exotic, monk-like warrior as opposed to the black loyalty outfit. What say the rest of you on that matter?

Agreed. Though I'm perhaps slightly more optimistic at the hope of the possibility of Samara becoming an active love interest in ME3. That said, I don't feel particularly confident about it occuring either.

I'm lost, are we talking about the mods clamping down?  The mods being the police?

Edit:  Forget I asked, it doesn't matter.

Mods may be keeping an eye out more on all threads due to troll activity in the Tali thread. I've seen mods go into the Miranda thread and tell them to keep on-topic, but not do the same for the Tali thread. It's a double-standard I think, but either way, the whole thing was a misunderstanding and I'm saddened we won't be able to read KFD's discussions when nothing really has to change.

Anyway, I thought this thread's purpose was to ensure Samara's appearance in ME3, not specifically making her a LI. Like other's have said, the dead-end in ME2 I think was heartbreaking, but original. I like Samara's character, I'd hate to see her disappear because her "Code" with you is ended :(

I like the black one better.  I however do think that she needs less cleavage in a possible future appearance pack.  I would just assume change out her high heels for something more conventional for combat purposes.

So let her wear her red/black uniform on the ship, and then change her to less cleavage and no high heels in combat.

Its assumed and I stress assumed that Asari's "cleavage" increases in size as they get older, and show that size represents how old and how mature they are. Again it's assumed

I stay cautiously optimistic about all of ME3, considering what we have seen so far in the trilogy.  I don't have my hopes for anything.  I tend to think that there will be a lot of cameos for former squadmates in ME3, but I may be wrong.  If I am wrong, then I will be one of the more pleased members around since I am not expecting much to begin with.:D

Here's what's been on my mind: Samara and Liara on the same team? They both seem to be the same, but why not give them different powers. The thing that seems odd because of the game mechanics, Liara has singularity and Samara doesn't  that's laughable, but anyway, maybe cuz Samara uses an AR, but either way, pretty much how do you compare the two? Liara is a civilian/scientist, inexperienced but she can fight. Samara is a lot more suited for the needs of the war at hand, yet she tells you she must continue righting wrongs after the suicide mission?

I don't see how they can be on the same team and Samara not be a LI as well. Look at the difference the romance is :P, there's no way I can have a Liaramance playthrough because of how incredibly mature Samara's character is. This is no offense to Liara, more like, to Bioware or something. Idk, it's just my opinion anyway.

Whats part of the appeal of Samara is the fact she can't be romanced. If it were to continue and you could sway her Id like it to be a romance with actually having not having sex to show love for one another. This could be seen in cutscenes if other people try to harm, flirt or sway the users Shepard. The closes contact they do will would be kissing.
