It should be a unique scene, a slow-moving shot from behind of Samara and Shepard meditating together (close together). It starts further back, and gets gradually closer to their backs, then it fades to black. No sounds other than ambient sounds.

Best believe.
I have an idea of a Samara romance being a little bit more about Shepard and his/her feelings, and Samara being the one consoling/comforting him/her. Its no doubt hard to pull off. But it would be something like the conversations being around how Samara handles all the pressure and inward guilt that may sometimes come with being a Justicar.
Samara will gracefully dodge the credit Shepard gives her and say that she has sworn to live this path and her feelings cannot interfere. But gradually, Shepard uncovers some of Samara's true feelings and emotions. Shepard him or herself will be dealing with lots of pressure from outside sources no doubt, so he/she will have a vested interest figuring out how to come to terms with inner demons and such. There will be hints of romance to which Samara wil obviously ignore, directly or indirectly, but she will get the idea that Shepard is a bit troubled, tormented inside.
So this will allow the formulaic writers to keep having their conversational progression without having to make some kind of avant-garde challenging romance, but it will be interesting enough to keep the mature gamers engaged. Then, the last culmination will be Shepard going to Samara (NOT the other way around as it often is in these romances). Shepard will come asking for some kind of comfort, anything from Samara, who will make a type of sacrifice by opening up to him/her in a way that she hasn't since she has sworn the Code.
Now, this opening up won't be rejecting the Code, but it will open up some of Samara's own wounds that she has sealed away. But she does it out of need to Shepard. The final result will look like Samara grazing her hand across Shepards face and having that look just like she did after she rejected him in ME2 (though it has no connection, meaning you needn't have pursued her in ME2). And some form of mind-meld, no emphasis on the sexual part of it, but to transfer some of her experiences on to Shepard, who will be better for it. And there you have it, something to that effect would satisfy me atleast, I don't know bout anyone else.
Thoughts? Comments? Bueller?
EDIT: paragraphed so it is easier to read.

The final romance scene you have there is a little more involved between the two of them than I would like, but it's not cheap or tasteless, which are the main things to avoid.
Sadly, I imagined some people getting this romance scene, then coming on the forums to express their confusion: "but shes an ardat-yakshi, so she fried his brains, rite? jajajajaja"

Yea I thought about the mind meld bit, and tried to use it in a more symbolic way. I wouldn't even want her to say the "embrace eternity" bit, but would love to see her eyes go red like when she swore the third oath

Overall I don't think it needs the mind meld, but thats just Samara being extremely generous to us .
Then her eyes would go black, yes? Add additional light to her face so that she doesn't appear as creepy with black eyes as Morinth does.

Which would you rather have, the mind meld your suggested, or the Liara style mind meld though?
Because i think if Bioware ends up making a romance for Samara, there's bound to be a mind meld.

Like this:

@Black: I think the Liara style mind meld fit her the best, it was her own unique display of affection, and was well done. I wouldn't want Samara going all out like that

That's sounds like an idea. It would be nice in the moonlight or candlelight. Maybe Shep finds her on a planet. Have a fire burning in the background. Something to make it a little more romantic maybe.7Makaveli wrote...

That's not the mind-joining, that's Samara being cool with her glowy eyes. Asari eyes go black when they join minds.

Yea, I know, but I prefer it to the black eyes. Plus it sort of differentiates it from a sexual mind meld. And I'm sure they can write something in like : Matriarchs eyes go red when they meld hoo haa. (its not like Shep has melded with anyone older than a maidan/matron?)

Liara didn't get pregnant from a meld where her eyes turn black. Are you proposing a retcon regarding their eyes?
