Seriously, GTFO with your tali Bull****.

Jealous that we get more than staring into each others' eyes?

No. It's my opinion that the Samara non-romance romance was the best written of series so far.=]

I said "Hi" to the Talimancers because not all of them are doodieheads.

Thank you. Some of us are intellectuals. The others I scare of with death threats. I guess I'm being the annoying Jahova's witness knocking on the door on a Sunday, right?

I'm actually at that point right now. Who would be interested in a live broadcast?

10 hours since the last post?!

Do we think Liara has the chops to be a Justicar, if she had Samara's tutelage, for example? Liara at least has the biotic abilities. This all depends upon the player's appraisal of Liara's character in ME2. Liara has done bad things during her time as an information broker.

Personally I don't mind the route Bioware has taken Liara, seems feasible to me, and not worth the outcry it gets.

But anyway, yeah, I think if Liara were to suddenly gain the inspiration to become a Justicar, she could do so. She seems a person who throws themselves into her work, dedicating herself to it, as seen by her research into the Protheans and later as an information broker. And she has very proficient biotic abilities, but don't all asari? Samara's beginnings weren't exactly perfect either with being a merc and all.

So yeah, I think has the chops to be a Justicar, it would just be a matter of her wanting to undergo that lifestyle and be willing to trade in her love of gaining knowledge to hone her biotic and combat skills further.

Personally, I don't think she could make it. Also, she wouldn't be willing to.

I'd have to see Liara in a few hundred years to see if she could do it, but as of right now even with her justified "hardened" phase, I don't think she could. While she may be able to master the physical capabilities, we all know that it takes much more than that to follow The Code.

Topic inspired by another thread about stand-alone games for squadmates:
If you were to make a game based around Samara called "The Chronicles of Justicar!" (random I know) what would it revolve around? Would you focus on her rigorous training which may have even taken up to a hundred years, her early Justicar days where she may have struggled a lot, or sometime before she meets Shepard and leaves Thessia for the unknown?

I'd like to see a mix of all of those.

During her training, we'd get to see tons of Asari lore.
During her early days, we'd get to see her making mistakes, learning and eventually becoming the Justicar we know.
I'd like to see her run-in with Morinth and the village full of people Morinth brainwashed.
I'd like to see her run-in with Nihilus.
I'd like to see her learning of the humans as they enter the galactic stage and studying them.

Yes, all of those I'd had in mind for certain levels or sub-levels in the game. The game would have to revolve around Morinth as the arch-nemesis I suppose, but in an alternate universe where she does not meet Shepard and tracks her to Omega herself in the final confrontation in the game. So then the game would begin with a prologue of her finding out about her children's diagnoses. A good third of the game would be the training, just because I feel like that the training is very hands on and would involve many adversaries. Middle chapter would be about leaving Thessia and having a brief run-in with Morinth on that village, and all the other things you mentioned. There would obviously be side-quests as people will come up to her with varied tasks they want her to carry out. Then the final chapter would be Illium/Omega ending in Morinth's defeat.

Some game mechanics could be a Code percentage report, that shows you how closely aligned your actions are with the Code :D and Biotic leveling up. Sounds like a promising game, now we gotta pitch it to a Dev...

There's a thread asking people if they chose to take Morinth over Samara.   I posted my thoughts there.

I hope Samara comes back in the next game as a Romance, I loved the fact that she wasn't able to be romanced this game, just made me want to romance her that much more. She was the only character I actually wanted to romance besides Tali in ME2. I couldn't even choose Morinth over her on my Renegade playthrough, then again my Renegade was just a "I'll do whatever it takes to get the job done, no matter what" kind of person and wasn't really a d**k, just like I could never not give Tali the hug or be mean to hear I couldn't do anything bad to Samara.

Tali's too sweet and kind for anyone to be mean to her.  On Youtube, I've seen the rejection scene that takes places before the Omega-4 Relay scene, but deep in to her romance.  It's so sad :(    You can hear the hurt on her voice.
